Houston over the weekend, conspiracy
theorists reckon it's the work of Arsenal's
Aaron Ramsey.
Believe it or not, there is an ongoing
conspiracy theory that suggests that every
time the Welsh international scores for his
club, a a momentous death occurs. Sounds
ridiculous, right? Let's look at the facts.
On May 1, 2011, Ramsey scored the only goal
in a 1-0 win against Manchester United. The
next day Osama bin Laden was killed by US
troops.
In October of last year, the midfielder was
even busier, as he scored after a long absence
against Tottenham Hotspur in 2-1 loss on
October 3. Three days later, Apple supremo
Steve Jobs died. In the same month, Ramsey
scored against Marseille in the Champions
League on October 19. The following day,
Libyan despot Colonel Gaddafi was shot.
It's been quite a while since a Ramsey goal but
following Saturday's 2-1 victory over
Sunderland, the Welshman's goal caused what
is becoming a typically shocking death, this
time around 12 hours later in the form of diva
Whitney Houston.
Coincidence? Let's just hope he doesn't score
