Rais Jokowi amewasili akitokea Kenya na baada ya Tanzania anaelekea Mozambique na kisha kuhitimisha ziara yake ndefu ya bara Afrika kwa kutua South Afrika kumaliza safari ya kikazi barani Afrika.
Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

Today, I, with a limited delegation, will leave for Africa. We will visit 4 countries namely Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and South Africa. And, this is my first visit as President to the African region.

Indonesia and Africa have a long historical relationship because Indonesia was the initiator and host of the Asian-African Conference in 1955. Indonesia also played an important role in giving birth to the Non-Aligned Movement at that time and it is this Bandung spirit that I will bring with me on a visit to Africa by strengthening solidarity. and cooperation among the countries of the global south .

Kenya and Tanzania opened embassies in Jakarta last year. This is the commitment of the two countries to continue to strengthen cooperation with Indonesia.

And, Mozambique is the first African country where Indonesia has a PTA (Preferential Trade Agreement) . And, for South Africa, Indonesia was invited to the BRICS Summit. And, of course, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, various bilateral meetings will be held with other heads of state.

God willing, my entourage and I will arrive back in Indonesia on August 25th.

Thank You.

Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
