Haya nimejifunza baada ya kupitia vyombo vya habari na mitandao mbali mbali kuhusu mikataba ya makubaliano ambayo Dp World waliingia sehemu mbali mbali;

1. DP World ni kampuni kubwa duniani hasa kwenye masuala ya uendeshaji Bandari.

2. Makubaliano maeneo ya uwekezaji na matokeo ya uwekezaji .

3. Makabuliano mengi nliyopitia ukitoa Tanzania na sehemu chache yaana muda wa mkataba, mfano;
(a) We have issued the letter of acceptance to DP World a couple of days ago,” The Indian Express newspaper reported, citing Sanjay Mehta, Chairman of Deendayal Port Authority.

DP World will be responsible for the design, engineering, financing, procurement, implementation, commissioning, operation, management and maintenance of the project for a period of 30 years, the report said.

(b) Saint John
DP World has signed a lease to operate the Port of Saint John’s container terminal starting in January; the contract gives them control of the terminal for the next 30 years. This port is Canada’s fifth largest container port, and it is the second largest on the East Coast. In 2015, the port handled 97,465 20-foot containers, which was 7,850 more containers than the previous year.

(c) DP World signed a 20-year concession agreement with the government of Angola to operate the Multipurpose Terminal (MPT) at the Port of Luanda.

As part of the deal, DP World will invest $190 million to upgrade the existing infrastructure and buy new equipment at the port to help increase its throughput to 700,000 twenty-foot equivalent container units per year, the port operator said in a statement on Monday .

(d) This agreement is a testimony to the strength of the relationships we build with our partners around the globe.”

As part of a concession contract, which is valid until 2049, DP World already operates the Constanta South Container Terminal (CTST), which has an annual capacity of 1.5 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU).

(e) A term sheet summarizing the amendments to the contract, which was signed in Kinshasa by Guylain Nyembo Mbwizya, Chief of Staff to the Head of State, and Suhail Al Banna, CEO and Managing Director of DP World, Middle East and Africa region, follows part of a review by the parties of some of the existing contractual document clauses signed in March 2018, when DP World was awarded the 30-year concession to develop and manage the Banana Port.

(f) DP World Ltd, the world’s fourth biggest container port operator, which is majority owned by the Dubai government, won a 30-year contract to build and operate the ICTT in a public auction in 2004 by placing the highest revenue share price bid of 33.30%. Ports contracts at Union government-owned ports are decided on the basis of revenue share—the entity willing to share the most from its annual revenue bags the deal. This was the third attempt by Cochin Port Trust to develop the project after two previous auctions failed to attract a private investor .

Hii ina maana gharama za miradi hiyo, pasipo ushindani dhidi ya DP World, zitabebwa na Tanzania Bara.

Yawezekana, mashauri dhidi ya DP World duniani kote, ndio yamepelekea kuingia Tanzania kwa mgongo wa nchi yao, Dubai. Nasema hivyo kwani tayari kulikuwa na maelewano (MoU) kati yao (DP World) na TPA, Shirika letu la Bandari, uliotiwa sahihi tarehe 22/2/2022. IGA imetiwa sahihi tarehe 3/10/22, ndani ya miezi 12, kama ilivyotakiwa.

Kwa mantiki hiyo, IGA ni mkataba wa kimangumashi na Tanzania tumeingizwa mkengeni.

Nchi zingine zimewakabidhi baadhi ya bandari zao, sisi tunawapa bandari zote. Bila hata kufanya nao biashara na kuwajua vizuri!

1. DP World ni kampuni kubwa duniani hasa kwenye masuala ya uendeshaji Bandari.

2. Makubaliano maeneo ya uwekezaji na matokeo ya uwekezaji .

3. Makabuliano mengi nliyopitia ukitoa Tanzania na sehemu chache yaana muda wa mkataba, mfano;
(a) We have issued the letter of acceptance to DP World a couple of days ago,” The Indian Express newspaper reported, citing Sanjay Mehta, Chairman of Deendayal Port Authority.

DP World will be responsible for the design, engineering, financing, procurement, implementation, commissioning, operation, management and maintenance of the project for a period of 30 years, the report said.

(b) Saint John
DP World has signed a lease to operate the Port of Saint John’s container terminal starting in January; the contract gives them control of the terminal for the next 30 years. This port is Canada’s fifth largest container port, and it is the second largest on the East Coast. In 2015, the port handled 97,465 20-foot containers, which was 7,850 more containers than the previous year.

(c) DP World signed a 20-year concession agreement with the government of Angola to operate the Multipurpose Terminal (MPT) at the Port of Luanda.

As part of the deal, DP World will invest $190 million to upgrade the existing infrastructure and buy new equipment at the port to help increase its throughput to 700,000 twenty-foot equivalent container units per year, the port operator said in a statement on Monday .

(d) This agreement is a testimony to the strength of the relationships we build with our partners around the globe.”

As part of a concession contract, which is valid until 2049, DP World already operates the Constanta South Container Terminal (CTST), which has an annual capacity of 1.5 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU).

(e) A term sheet summarizing the amendments to the contract, which was signed in Kinshasa by Guylain Nyembo Mbwizya, Chief of Staff to the Head of State, and Suhail Al Banna, CEO and Managing Director of DP World, Middle East and Africa region, follows part of a review by the parties of some of the existing contractual document clauses signed in March 2018, when DP World was awarded the 30-year concession to develop and manage the Banana Port.

(f) DP World Ltd, the world’s fourth biggest container port operator, which is majority owned by the Dubai government, won a 30-year contract to build and operate the ICTT in a public auction in 2004 by placing the highest revenue share price bid of 33.30%. Ports contracts at Union government-owned ports are decided on the basis of revenue share—the entity willing to share the most from its annual revenue bags the deal. This was the third attempt by Cochin Port Trust to develop the project after two previous auctions failed to attract a private investor .

A tribunal of the London Court of International Arbitration has ruled against Djibouti’s port company, Port de Djibouti S.A. (PDSA), in its dispute with DP World, confirming that PDSA breached the joint venture agreement by wrongfully attempting to terminate it, and by engaging in the attempted transfer of its shares to the government. The tribunal ruled that the joint venture agreement was not terminated and remains in full force and effect.
