The 2016 presidential election is less than two years away and speculation has run rampant in regards to who might be making a run at the White House.

One name that has been getting attention is Mitt Romney, the failed 2012 nominee for the Republican party. Despite early polling showing their support, the American people appear to be less confident in Romney today, than ever before.

Speaking to a room of potential donors earlier this month, Romney told them that he wanted to be president. After the news leaked, the reaction from Republicans was mixed. According to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, released Jan. 20, the overwhelming majority of the American people oppose another Romney candidacy.

The poll shows that only 27 percent of Americans have a positive view of Romney, while 40 percent view him in a negative light. If the poll is an indication of a potential primary, Romney would fair well.

Fifty-two percent of registered Republicans give Romney a positive rating, while 15 percent view him in a negative way. These numbers are only slightly better than the current approval rating of Congress, which currently sits at 16 percent.

While Romney isn't viewed in a positive light among Americans, he fairs better than other Republicans. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush received only 19 percent support from those surveyed, compared to 32 percent who oppose him.

When polled, 37 percent of Republicans gave Bush a positive rating, and 15 percent view him negatively.

On the flip side, the Democratic field is more one sided. A CBS News poll released Jan. 19 shows that 85 percent of registered Democrats are supporting a Hillary Clinton run for president, and only 11 percent oppose.

The only other name that comes close to challenging Clinton is Vice President Joe Biden, who received 40 percent of the support from Democrats, with 38 percent opposing.

It's too early to tell mkuu, almost a year and half from now?!, anything can happen, lakini Bushes nao wanaonekana one of America's favorites!

Bush wana donors wengi mno....financially wako na nguvu ya support than any republican candidate

Interesting insight mkuu!

Really?
wewe unaonaje?au unafikiri Romney anaweza ku changisha pesa kuliko Jeb?
i doubt it a lot....

halafu huyo Jeb alishawahi kusema hataki kabisa kuwa Rais zamani

so why now?
mimi naona kaambiwa na watu powerful 'its all yours now'

Unavosema kuhusu Bushes ni kweli mkuu, They're politicians born and bred, wanaoaminika na 'watu powerful', na kwa sasa ukiangalia among repubs wanaolekea kutangaza nia,..

Lakini jinsi ambavyo Romney ana moyo?!,......with his financial status, he might be a surprise to everyone!

......tena, Jeb made it clear and strongly convinced everyone that he won't do a run for the white house na sasa yamekuwa haya!,.....lakini mkuu mkuu I'd love to know, do you think "The powerful people" play both teams?!,.....as in blue team and red team, depending on who they think will win the game?!, or it doesn't matter to them as long as someone is in that white house working on their "interests"

ku prove hiyo tazama jinsi walivyo msave Clintoni baada ya kupigiwa kura aondolewe

wale the powerful wakaona huu ujinga..hatuwezi kuondoa good president over sex scandal
aliwapa the biggest economical boom ever.....ingawa senate ilikuwa Republican zaidi but wakaamua tu
'he is going no where'

that was something interesting....haijalishi which party...they are in charge...
hata Obama utakumbuka aliwahi kuwa accused of 'elitist' kumbuka

huwezi kuwa connected na kuwa elitist unless unajua who is backing you...

I bet if I were to challenge you to give me a quote of how exactly he said what he said you'd find out that he didn't use the word 'never'.

Interesting........

with Clinton impeachment imagine the mountain of evidence and he was still able to stay, but good thing that he left the office and the country in general in a good shape, otherwise Dems would've been dreaming of the White house!

Let me go and dig the Impeachment before saying anything, kabla my Cuzzo Nyani Ngabu, hajanijia na Ma file....lol!

Better be careful now coz I remember 1998/99 like it was yesterday.

I was still in college and my mind was super sharp and I followed the whole thing closely.

Just know that he was impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice and not because he got head in the Oval office from Monica Lewinsky.

And getting impeached and being removed from office are two different issues.

Cuzzo who else (repub) do you think can top him for now?!

There is Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana, Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin and many others.

No one is a shoo-in.

Remember this time in 2007 when everyone and their mama thought Hilary was a shoo-in and out of nowhere came Obama......

yeah, that's where I don't recall but Cuzzo, you'd think getting impeached while in the office would automatically remove someone?!

Nope, it doesn't work that way.

But I see why some would think that's the case because I once also thought it to be so.

Man I miss those days. Gas was $0.99 per gallon and folks had money in their pockets.

But Cuzzo think about the Magnitude of Bush's name, sasa Walker and Pence mpaka wakaanze kuji introduce?!, they'll be at 30 wakati mwenzao yuko 70!
