You are fighting the mindset! That is the mindset there. Forgive and forget!!
Its the otherway round, read and re read the contributions.
The mindset shell befalls many who think since they have made by building their own dwellings using "fundis" , engineers are an unecessary luxury.

I am not going to go down listing titles in JF, too old for that. But, you apparently come out as too naive. And if this is the society JK and friends live among, acheni waendeelee kujiita Dr.Dr.Dr, Prof, Eng.Mheshimiwa flani bin flani, I had thought only fools will be impressed by such useless display of titles, apparently they have managed to accumulate enough of them n TZ.
God bless my Nation.
It seems yer too thick to understand the situation here.
Try the waters instead of arguing from afar.

Truer worlds couldn't have been spoken, As someone who was trained as an engineer by the world's best to the highest level achievable, worked in the field for many years at the very cutting edge of technology and probably qualified than all of these "engineers" wannabe, it saddens me beyond comprehension that they would treat a field that gives them bread with total arrogance and complete lack of professionalism.

Hawa CCM kweli wanatuharibia nchi.

You dont know that you dont know, na arguments zako dhifi ya hii field haziko informed na hazina substance.

No one needs to know any of that outside your HR boss.

Hapa ndipo nchi ilipoharibikia.

Lets put it simply .
If you are not an eng. you will never know the fulfilment, gratification and sense of achievement for attaining, against many odds, the proffession of engineering.
To say the least, that is not bragging.
I was in Sweden where education is free, several years ago, and a parent was astounded that a young man from Africa could be an engineer while his son was not at all interested in anything.
Understanding electricity, where there i no power
Understanding concrete, while living in a mud house
Understanding the functioning of the internal combustion engine, where your father did not even own a bycicle
Thats the satisfaction dude!

Poor you!
Mawazo yako circumscribed katika kuajiriwa.
No wonder you fail to appreciate proffessions that nurture nature.
Your proffession condemns to the bondage of a salaried man.

Try something better for your offsprings.

Satisfaction then what? Au ukishashiba wewe na familia yako basi! Unakuta mtu ni mechanical engineer amesoma mpaka phd anajivunia title tuu Eng. DR. So and so kaandika mapepa kibao yamejazana kwenye makabati ofisini....njia yake ya kuongeza kipato amejenga frem za duka nje ya nyumba yake. mnasingizia serikali serikali ..tunashindwa hata kufanya "reverse engineering" kukabiliana na changamoto zinazotuzunguka.

We viiipi?
Uko sayari gani?

All those things are relative terms. Your Swedish friend probably had to find an intersection point for conversations sake.
I do not fault your being satisfied or feeling gratitude for achieving your lifetime goal, being called an Engineer.past your gratification NO one really s interested in all that. As you have put it yourself, that is personal not public. I feel sorry, you had to overcome many ods to become an engineer. you should have chosen something that had ods in your favour. That way you could fill shoes best fitting your ability, instead of embarrassing all engineers by parading empty choir of gratification no one wants to hear among the learned.

Hahahah!! Guys...!! Why so much hatred!! She is a registered engineer and has worked for over 15yrs in that capacity as a mains engineer @ TANESCO

Yeah nobody gives a flip wether we did study medicine or social sciences, but the Eng title is earned and not given in honoraria (sp) so let the lady be!

Ah! I forgot!

It is good to be Engineer, not to call yourself as Engr. Engineers always are looking for root cause and designing new systems. Kama ni PE, you will always think like one not otherwise

This kind of thinking is what Tanzanians need to get rid of before embarking in any sort of enlightenment phase.
I appreciate all professions equally. because, unlike you, as they camera enthusiast call it, I have a wider dynamic range.
Yours seems to be fixed in a single point, unable to see we live in a highly complex world that mashes up together many bits of this and that to have everything running smoothly.

Whatever you are typing here, shows that, apart from a few memorized stuffs you got in school, you have not acquired any knowledge. For you fixed your brain at a single focal point that eliminated any possibility of gathering rich knowledge around you, similar to how a poorly over exposed picture captures an object 5 meters in front of it and fails to get anything behind it.

kuna watu huwa wanafanana majina mathalani Juma Hamadi .ili kuwatofautisha utatumia title zao .kama kuna engineer utamwita eng.Juma Hamadi na mwingine utamwita ndugu Juma Hamadi na hapo utakuwa umeeleweka

Wameridhika! Ni matokeo ya mfumo wetu wa elimu. Tunameza tuu ili kufaulu mitihani tunashindwa kutumia elimu tunayoipata kutatua matatizo yanayotuzunguka. Unabaki kusikia leo wataalamu waneenda Malasia kuangalia hiki, kamati hii imeenda Japan kuangalia hiki etc etc. Wasomi wamebaki ku copy na ku paste tuu. Tuna copy vitu vingine hata havitufai kwa nchi yetu kwa sasa.

Typical of all penguins , crammed quotes!
How dyou put the quote to your own practical use?
