Rooney when he was 18 he was already playin in the premier lg and so far we know it was the right decision. Huyu dogo lucas we dont if he will make it in the premier lg. remember veron,shevchenko, forlan?!! They were flops so u wouldnt wanna risk that. Eden hazard has gone to chelsea for alot of money and we wait n see if he will make it. Yes sasa hatuna hela like we used to bt remember last year we spent lots of cash on basically average players. Man city, chelsea and now psg are inflatin the market. Remember when man utd used to buy the likes of rio and rooney for £20m plus we were using our own cash. Chelsea man city and PSG are not using club cash but they use oil money and thats not how you run a football club.

Around 30 m pounds in 2004 for an 18 year old kid was a bit overrate there mate. Leave oil money aside. Fergie wanted Hazard as well as Moura but was short of funds.

On the other hand, Fergie does not do business openly. Look at how he landed Kagawa. He wasn't jibbering as he was for Moura or is now for RvP. Diverging attention? I'd say yes. Floatation of United shares at the New York Stock Exchange and sales ain't going well. But that's just my opinion.

Van Persie deal completed



Robin van Persie has completed his medical, agreed personal terms and signed for Manchester United on a four-year contract until June 2016.


The 29 year-old Dutch striker joins the club in time for the start of the 2012/13 Premier League season.


Sir Alex Ferguson said: "Robin is a world-class striker with a proven record in England and in European football. His talents need no introduction to our fans – he has scored a number of goals against us in some classic battles with his former club. His movement, finishing and all-round ability are outstanding."


Robin van Persie said: "It's an honour to sign for Manchester United. I am looking forward to following in the footsteps of so many great strikers, bringing my experience and playing my part to help the team compete for the biggest trophies in the game. I can't wait to get started."

Van Persie handed £10m loyalty bonus if he remains at United for duration of contract

Robin van Persie stands to earn an extra £10million on top of his mammoth £250,000-a-week wages at Manchester United - just for staying at the club for the duration of his four year contract. The cash bonus will be spread throughout his stay at Old Trafford and does not take into account any bonuses that the 29-year-old will earn if United win the League, FA Cup, League Cup or the Champions League.

Many inside United, including chief executive David Gill, questioned whether a £64million investment in Van Persie - a £24m transfer fee plus his wages for four years - was prudent.
