respectively. Both Kamuzu and Kaunda having a common slogan of
"Wamuyaya" (Life) had something
to carry in their hands as symbol of
authority. 2. President Bakili Muluzi,born in
1943, took over from Kamuzu
Banda. Fredrick Chiluba, born in
1943, took over from Kenneth Emily Mwasinga Kaunda and both Muluzi and Chiluba went on to seek a 3rd
term of office but failed after
extreme opposition to both bids.
Both Bakili and Chiluba divorced
their wives on alleged account of
infidelity. 3. Bakili Muluzi brought in Bingu wa
Mutharika, while Fredrick Chiluwa
brought in Levy Mwanawasa and
they both campaigned for them. 4. Both Mutharika and Mwanawasa
won those elections. 5. Shortly after being elected as
Presidents, both Mutharika and
Mwanawasa fell out favour with
Muluzi and Chiluwa respectively.
They both took their predecessors
to court over corruption. ___Now it gets interesting; Muluzi
was prosecuted by Mutharika
administration. Chiluba was also prosecuted by Mwanawasa
administration. Bingu Wa Mutharikha won a 2nd
Term of office; Mwanawasa won a
2nd Term of office. Mutharika chose Joyce Banda as
Vice President. Mwanawasa chose
Rupiah Banda as Vice President. Mutharika died in his 2nd term of
office due to Cardiac Arrest.
Mwanawasa died in his 2nd term of
office due to Cardiac Arrest - (both
deaths were predicted by Prophet
T.B Joshua). 6. Dr. Joyce Banda took over from
Bingu wa Mutharika due to death of
incumbent. Rupiah Banda took over
