Prime Minister David Cameron has met Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga this morning, his first meeting with an African leader since taking office. During the meeting the PM reassured Prime Minister Odinga of his support for vigorous political and economic reform in Kenya.

The Prime Minister reassured him of his commitment to the UKs strong partnership with Kenya, and his support for vigorous political and economic reform. They discussed the importance of the France/Africa Summit next week.
The Prime Minister welcomed Kenyas cooperation in confronting the threat of piracy off the coast of Somalia. He underlined his personal commitment, and that of his government, to the 0.7% GDP development target.
