Lord Cairns is the current Board member of the MO Ibrahim foundation

In recognition of the duty Lord Cairns said "i welcome the opportunity to chair the advisory board.It provides us with great opportunity to deploy this substantial fund in a way that will provide substantial benefit as Tanzania advances down the path to full development"

Re: The Settlement of the £29.5 Million to Tanzanian People

I understand that BAE Systems has formed an advisory board on Tanzania chaired by Lord Cairns in line with the settlement agreement with the UK 's Serious Fraud Office (SFO), approved by the UK's High Court in December 2010. As part of the settlement BAE Systems agreed to pay the sum of £29.5 million for the benefit of the people of Tanzania.

I am aware that a group of Tanzania all party parliamentarians have visited Britain to press for the payment of the settlement of 29.5 million pounds through the Tanzania's Government rather than Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

As a Tanzanian citizen, I am monitoring this issue very closely and I want to express my strong support to BAE System for its decision to return the money to the Tanzanian people through NGO's instead of the same tainted corrupt Tanzanian Government officials. Please bear in that this all party parliamentarians visit in Britain is costing us already.

unajifanya patriotic sana, mbona huulizi waliotuingiza kwenye choo hichi cha kike wamechukuliwa hatua gan?! Hivi mtu unawezaje kutetea serikal ambayo haina uchungu wa rasilimal zake. Achoka kabisa!

Swadakta. Ndio maana pesa zisirudi serikalini kwani serikali ya CCM itazichakachua. By the way, zile pesa zilizorudishwa na wezi wa EPA zimetumikaje vile? Mbona hazionekani kwenye vitabu?

I am afraid, this may be an exercise in futility and sheer waste of time and resources. Your attempt is devoid of any justification and no body, worth their names will ever take you seriously. Are you talking about NGOs which are outlets of fleecing? You are jocking! The money ought to go to where it came from i.e. the exchequer. If you want a debate on how it should be spent, then that is arguable. But your proposition falls short of a prudent thinking.
