MSUMBIJI ITAKAVYOUNGANISHWA NA UWANJA WA NDEGE SONGEA
Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Ruvuma Kanali Ahmed Abbas Ahmed amesema utakapokamilika mradi wa ujenzi wa barabara ya lami nzito kutoka Likuyufusi hadi Mkenda mpakani mwa Tanzania na Msumbiji itakuwa ni fursa kwa wananchi wa Msumbiji kuutumia uwanja wa ndege Songea hivyo kuongeza uchumi wa Mkoa na Taifa.
Kanali Abbas amesema hayo wakati anazungumza katika Kituo cha Uhamiaji cha Mkenda wilayani Songea baada ya kukagua miundombinu ya barabara hiyo yenye urefu wa Zaidi ya kilometa 120.
Amemshukuru Rais Dkt.Samia Suluhu Hassan kwa kutenga Zaidi ya shilingi bilioni 74 kuanza kutekeleza awamu ya kwanza ya ujenzi wa barabara ya lami kilometa Zaidi ya 60 kuanzia Likuyufusi hadi njia panda ya Muhukuru wilayani Songea.
“Tunamshukuru sana Mheshimiwa Rais kwa kuamua kuunganisha Mkoa wa Ruvuma na nchi ya Msumbiji kwa kuanza kujenga barabara ya lami kilometa 60 ’’,alisema RC Abbas.
Mkuu wa Mkoa pia amemshukuru Rais Dkt Samia kwa kutoa fedha za upanuzi na ukarabati wa uwanja wa Ndege Songea ambapo serikali imetumia zaidi ya shilingi bilioni 37 kutekeleza mradi huo.
Hata hivyo amesema ujenzi barabara ya Likufusi - Mkenda mpakani na nchi ya Msumbiji,itakuwa fursa kwa wananchi wa nchi hiyo kutumia barabara hiyo hadi mjini Songea kisha kutumia uwanja wa ndege wa Songea kusafiri sehemu mbalimbali nchini.
Amesisitiza kuwa Rais Samia amewaagiza kuzitumia fursa zilizopo mkoani Ruvuma kwa kutoa fursa na kufungua shughuli za kiuchumi katika Mkoa wa Ruvuma bila kuathiri suala zima la ulinzi na usalama katika Mkoa ambao upo mpakani na nchi za Msumbiji na Malawi.
 
Wadau wakubwa wa parachichi kutoka India wakiwa kwenye moja ya kiwanda Cha parachichi makambako eneo ambalo kwa Sasa linakuwa kama industrial park ya viwanda vya parachichi

LUSAKA, Zambia, Wednesday, April 3, 2024 - This morning, Senior management staff of the China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) led by General Manager Mr. DEAN YANG, accompanied by Business Development Department Manager Mr. PHILIP SUN, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Transport and Logistics Hon. MUSEBA FRANK TAYALI, MP at the Ministry Headquarters.

The CCECC delegation expressed delight for having been accorded an audience by the Minister and further discussed pertinent issues to do with the revitalisation of the Tazara Zambia Railways Authority (TAZARA).

On September 5, 1967, the Governments of China, Tanzania and Zambia signed an agreement in Beijing on building the Tazara Railway. When many countries and international organizations all declined to help, China provided an interest-free loan of 988 million yuan with no conditions attached.

This is how far the relationships between China and Zambia date back, and the two countries have continued, through various engagements, maintained their strong cooperation to-date.

Terminal hizi zinaenda kurudi na kupiga kazi kama zamani 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 TAZARA has modern cargo terminus, complete with gantry cranes and other handling facilities at New Kapiri Mposhi, Kasama, Makambako and Dar es Salaam stations.

These facilities provide a quick and efficient means for exporters and importers from different regions of Africa to load and offload cargo onto and from TAZARA wagons. New Kapiri Mposhi handles cargo to and from the Southern and Central African regions, whilst Kasama covers the Great Lakes region. Similarly, Mbeya and Makambako cater for cargo from Malawi and some parts of the Great Lakes.

With such spread of the TAZARA terminus, cargo is easily relayed from region to region. In addition, there is a privately owned trans-shipment facility at Kidatu that handles the transfer of cargo from the wider gauge (1,067mm) wagons of TAZARA onto the narrower gauge (1,000mm) wagons of the Tanzania Railways Limited (TRL) facilitating inter-connectivity amongst the regions of Southern, Central and East Africa
