Simple Future Tense (‘ta’)

- Wakati huu huongelea jambo litakalofanyika na kukamilika mara moja wakati ujao.

Mifano; tutakuja, watatembea, atacheza.

- Wakati huu huashiriwa na silabi ‘ta’ ambayo ndiyo hufanya tutambue kuwa tunaongelea jambo litakalofanyika mara moja na kukamilika wakati ujao.
- Silabi ‘ta’ ni lazima iunganishwe na kitendo moja kwa moja kabla ya kitendo.
Mfano; ‘Tutaimba’, tofauti na ‘tutakuwa tunaimba’. ‘Tutaimba’ ipo katika ‘Simple Future Tense’ maana ‘ta’ imefuatwa moja kwa moja na kitendo ‘imba’, tofauti na ‘tutakuwa tunaimba’ ambapo ‘ta’ imefuatwa na kifungu ‘kuwa’.

Kanuni za kutumia ‘Simple Future Tense’ ‘ta’

A) Sentensi za taarifa

-Huwa tuna maneno mawili ambayo hufanya tujue tunaongelea wakati ujao, neno ‘will’ na neno ‘shall’.
i) Matumizi ya ‘will’
- ‘Will’ hutumika kama ‘ta’ na nafsi zote, tofauti na neno ‘shall’ ambalo hubagua baadhi ya nafsi tendaji maana ‘shall’ hutumika na ‘I’ na ‘we’ pekee kama ‘ta’.

- Tukitaka kuongelea jambo litakalofanyika mara moja kwa wakati ujao na likakamilika, huwa tunatanguliza ile nafsi tendaji, kisha tunafuatisha neno ‘will’ na hatimaye tunaweka kitendo katika umbo la kawaida.
Mifano;
1. I will go. (I will go.)

Ni ta enda. (Nitaenda)

2. They will come. (They will come.)

Wa(wao) ta kuja. ( Watakuja)

3. We will eat. (We will eat)

Tu ta kula ( Tutakula)

4. She / He will jump. (She/ He will jump.)

A (yeye) ta ruka. (Ataruka)

5. It will rain.

Ku (hali) ta nyesha (Kutanyesha)

6. It will leave. (It will leave.)

Ki/I/Li (kitu)/ A (mnyama) ta ondoka. (Kitaondoka/Itaondoka/Litaondoka/ Ataondoka)

7. You will see Juma. (You will see Juma.)

U (wewe)/ M(nyinyi) ta muona Juma. (Utamuona/ Mtamuona Juma.)

ii) Matumizi ya ‘shall’

- ‘Shall’ ina matatu tofauti tofauti;

a) Matumizi ya ‘shall’ kama ‘ta’ kwa nafsi za ‘I’ na ‘we’

Mifano;
1. I shall come. (I shall come.)

Ni (Mimi) ta kuja. (Nitakuja.)

2. We shall arrive early. (We shall arrive early.)

Tu (Sisi) ta fika mapema. ( Tutafika mapema.)

b) Matumizi ya ‘shall’ kuonyesha shuruti/lazima.

- ‘Shall’ ikitanguliwa kutumika na nafsi zile zingine tofauti na ‘I’ na ‘We’, yaani nafsi za ‘he/she/it, you, they’ huwa imetumika kuonyesha shuruti au ulazima. Inakuwa imetumiwa kuleta maana sawa na neno la Kingereza ‘must’.

Mifano:

1. You shall go. (Sawa na ‘You must go.’) …… Ni lazima uende/ muende.

2. He/ She shall pay. (Sawa na ‘ He/ She must pay.’)….. Ni lazima alipe.

3. They shall not kill. (Sawa na ‘They must not kill.’) …… Ni lazima wasiuwe/visiuwe.

4. It shall cook. (Sawa na ‘ It must cook.’ ) ….. Ni lazima ipike/lipike.
• ‘Shall’ hutumika sanasana katika fani ya sheria.

c) Matumizi ya ‘shall’ kama ombi.

- ‘Shall’ ikitumika na nafsi zote kwa kutanguliza maneno mengine katika sentensi, huonyesha ombi. Huwa inatumika kama neno la kwanza katika sentensi na huwa hatuweki alama ya swali katika mwisho wa sentensi.

Mifano;

1. Shall I come. …… Naomba nije.
2. Shall we go. ……… Naomba twende.
3. Shall they sing. ….. Naomba waimbe.
4. Shall it stop. …. Naomba isimame/kisimame/ lisimame.
5. Shall you sit. ….. Naomba ukae/ mkae.
6. Shall he/she enter. …. Naomba aingie.

• Nafsi za ‘I’ na ‘we’ zikitumia neno ‘shall’ kwa kutanguliza katika sentensi na mwisho wa sentensi hiyo tukaweka alama ya swali, hapo ‘shall’ huwa imetumika kama ‘ta’.
Mifano;
1. Shall I come? ….. Je, nitakuja?
2. Shall we go? ….. Je, tutaenda?

B) Kuuliza maswali na kuyajibu katika ‘Simple Future Tense’(‘ta’)

- Maswali yote huwa yanaanzia na neno ‘will’ au ‘shall’ kisha tunafuatisha nafsi tunayoiulizia na hatimaye kitendo tunachoulizia.

- Mifano;

1. Will you go? …… Je, utaenda/ mtaenda?
-Yes, you will. / Yes, you will go. ……. Ndio, utaenda.
-No, you won’t./ No, you won’t go. …… Hapana, hutaenda.

2. Will he/she come? …… Je, yeye atakuja?
-Ndio, atakuja. ….. Yes, he/she will. / Yes, he/she will come.
-No, he/she won’t. / No, he/she won’t come. ….. Hapana, hatakuja.
* Kifupi cha ‘will not’ ni ‘won’t’ na sio ‘willn’t’.
• Nafsi zote zinatumia kanuni hiyo iliy....

1. will/shall
Eg I shall come.

2. be(am, is, are) + going to

3.Be (is,are,am) about to
Eg He is about to come

4 Simple present tense
Eg see you tomorrow

5 Be (is, am, are) to infinitive
Eg They are to visit you next week

6 Present progressive
Eg He is moving to Dodoma
