We don't at all need to support the fanatics (opposition members) in Teheran, as someone suggested. Neither do we need to support Israel or Tanzania which has killed more than 70 souls of her own people!

An independent thinker, the hallmark of a great thinker, is not bound by ideologies, the geopolitics of nationalitic propaganda or even religions, but by truth and rationality.

We can choose to think and be rational and examine issues in their right light, or sink in the bottomless pit of religious fanaticism, nationalism and blind ideologies.

And this does not mean that we cannot support the movement for a more democratic Iran. And supporting a movement for a more democratic Iran does not mean that that movement is flawless.You have to take everything on a case by case basis and examine the facts.Never make sweeping statements and generalized judgements.

The devil is in the details.

The Iran government is wrong, the Iranian opposition is right in demanding more democracy, but probably has some transgressions among itself just as any large movement is bound to have.the Tanzanian thuggerry does not deserve to be called a government.The Israeli occupiers are simply shameless terrorists.And I can make a toe by toe case for each of these statements in the true Bluray tradition.

This is not a mutually exclusive, either or, head or tail issue, it's not like Israel being wrong automatically makes Iran right, or that the Iran opposition must be either right or wrong, or that the Iranian government being wrong automatically makes the opposition to be right.

The truth is more intricate than that.

TEHRAN (Reuters) - A representative of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday opposition leaders were "enemies of God" who should be executed under the country's sharia law.
The statement by cleric Abbas Vaez-Tabasi coincided with rallies by tens of thousands of government supporters calling for opposition leaders to be punished for fomenting unrest after June's disputed presidential election, state media said.
"Those who are behind the current sedition in the country ... are mohareb (enemies of God) and the law is very clear about punishment of a mohareb," the representative of Khamenei, who possesses ultimate authority in Iran, said on state television.
Under Iran's Islamic sharia law the sentence for "mohareb" is execution.
Vaez-Tabasi's remarks came two days after eight people were killed in anti-government protests sparked by the June poll which was won by hard-liner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Political turmoil has entered a new phase in Iran marked by bloody face-offs and arrests, with security forces calling on authorities to deal "firmly" with opposition leaders.
The establishment intensified a crackdown on the reform movement on Sunday by rounding up leading moderates to try to end street protests after the deadly weekend clashes erupted during the Shi'ite Muslim religious ritual of Ashura.
At least 20 opposition figures have been arrested since Sunday, including three senior advisers to opposition leader Mirhossein Mousavi, his brother-in-law and a sister of Iranian Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi, opposition websites said.
Ebadi said on French radio France Info that Iranian authorities were trying to silence her by arresting her sister.
"This arrest is illegal because my sister is a dentist, she is not in any way active in human rights or politics ... and she didn't participate in any protests," Ebadi said.
She said intelligence officials entered her sister's house on Monday night to arrest her without a warrant, rifled through her belongings and confiscated computers.
"BLOODY REPRESSION"
After U.S. President Barack Obama's condemnation on Monday of Iran's "iron fist of brutality" against protesters, French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Tuesday condemned "the bloody repression of the protests in Iran."
"(France) calls for an end to the violence, the release of all jailed opposition activists and respect for human rights," Sarkozy said in a statement.
The elite Revolutionary Guards accused the foreign media of joining hands with the opposition to harm the Islamic state. The British ambassador to Tehran was summoned by the Iranian government to be accused of "interference" in state matters.
"If Britain does not stop talking nonsense it will get a slap in the mouth," Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said. The British government said their envoy would respond "robustly" to any criticism.
On Tuesday, state TV showed footage of huge pro-government rallies in various cities, with demonstrators carrying pictures of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The crowed chanted: "The blood in our veins is a gift to our leader Khamenei" and "Death to hypocrites."
"Trying to overthrow the system will reach nowhere ... designers of the unrest will soon pay the cost of their insolence," the Revolutionary Guards said in a statement. "The opposition, which has joined hands with the foreign media, is backed by foreign enemies."

The wife of another opposition leader, Mehdi Karoubi, who was fourth in the June vote, said the establishment "was responsible for the safety of her family," the opposition Jaras website said. "My family and I do not enjoy any security against the rogue forces' nightly attacks," said Fatemeh Karoubi.
Jaras reported that hardliners attacked offices of moderate cleric Grand Ayatollah Yusef Sanei in various cities.
In a heated war of words, the reformist Islamic Iran's Participation Front said in a statement: "The only way out of the current crisis is for the authorities to respect the law and apologize to the nation."
Jaras said fresh clashes took place at a Tehran university and also in the central city of Shiraz between students and security forces. The reports could not be independently verified because of restrictions on foreign media covering protests.
Iranian authorities say eight people were killed in clashes on Sunday when supporters of Mousavi used the Ashura religious festival to stage fresh anti-government rallies.
Authorities blame what they call foreign-backed "terrorist groups" for the killings, including the death of Mousavi's nephew Ali Habibi Mousavi Khamene.
When the June 12 presidential election returned Ahmadinejad to power by a wide margin, thousands of Iranians took to the streets in the biggest anti-government demonstrations in the 30-year history of the Islamic Republic. Authorities reject opposition accusations of vote fraud.

Some well-intentioned Premium members of this Forum seated leisurely in their Vijijis in Butiama are unknowingly and unwittingly being used by the western and Jewish propaganda machines to confuse the ordinary members of this Forum.
These Premium members amid our midst are trying to sway the opinion of Tanzanians to be in favour of the Jewish and US against our recent stand to join hands with our brothers and sisters in Iran who are struggling to extricate themselves from the quagmire of western and Jewish influence.
We, Tanzanians as a country cannot and should not interfere in the internal affairs of
another brotherly country for the benefit of the Americans and for the
benefit of the Jewish people who have for more than 50 years now subjected the Palestinian people into a sanguinary suppression, slavery and misery – unseen in any past colonial rule in this planet.

The current standoff between Iran and the Western powers has nothing to do with Tanzanians and should be seen as an attempt by big powers and the Jewish State
to coerce a small country into their sphere of influence. Thus, Tanzanians instead of condemning Iran as proposed by some Premium members of our Forum, we should standby the side of the Iranian people who are striving to free themselves from the shackles of Jewish and American domination and subjugation.


Strange enough, all previous elections in ZNZ were marred by accusations of vote rigging and other irregularities and the SMZ government resorted to more ruthless methods to contain the opposition than presently used by the Iranian authorities.
As a result, more than 70 people were killed in ZNZ in 2001 and we as a country
never condemned these killings which were perpetrated by our own police force.
To say something now against the Iranian people as proposed by these Jewish agents in our Forum amounts to double standard.
How dare today we Tanzanians want to make such big noise because of 5 people killed in Iran while in our own courtyard in 2001 more than 70 people were killed and we remained silent and never uttered a single word????? Is this not self-defeating or is it because there was no JF in 2001?????
Let the situation in Iran escalates, but our government should not interfere. We already have a lot of problems of our own in ZNZ and on Mainland! Let’s concentrate all of our efforts into our war against MAFISADIS and not against Iran!!!!
If we cannot interfere in ZNZ why should we interfere in Iran? We as Tanzanians should not be at the service of Americans and Israel. You don’t need to be a political pundit from Harvard to understand that the skirmishes that are taking place from time to time in the streets of Iran today are being orchestrated, spearheaded and masterminded by the Jewish State in collaboration with the Americans. Therefore, how can we as Tanzanians side ourselves with the Jews and the Americans?
Our silence as in 2001 over ZNZ should be construed as an endorsement of what a legitimate government in Iran is doing and they should have our fullest support. To send any strong and unambiguous message to the Iranian leaders that the Tanzanian people strongly oppose the tactics of fear targeted against civilians who are demonstrating in a political setting will only serve to show how stupid we Tanzanians are. If we did not send a similar message to ZNZ in 2001 how can we have the morale to do so now to the Iranian people?
We know quite well that some of us Tanzanians are worried of our country’s affiliation with Iran – an Islamic country. But, let’s re-read our History. We have always since time immemorial and since the time of Mwalimu stood up with those being oppressed and therefore to stand up now with the people of Iran should be our natural reaction, because the Iranian people with all the riches that they possess are being economically subdued by the West and are not allowed to build their country as they see it fit.

Please dont try to gag us. no one stopped u from airing your opinion on any matter so please dont gag. To you guys everything is black and white what you dont realise that there are other colours just like rainbow.
