Bad breath may be the sign of a medical disorder, such as a local infection in the respiratory tract, chronic sinusitis, postnasal drip, chronic bronchitis, diabetes, gastrointestinal disturbance, liver or kidney ailment. If a dentist determines that your mouth is healthy, you may be referred to a specialist to determine the cause of bad breath.



Maintaining good oral health is essential to reducing bad breath. Schedule regular dental visits for a professional cleaning and checkup. If you think you have constant bad breath, keep a log of the foods you eat and make a list of medications you take. Some medications may play a role in creating mouth odors. Let the dentist know if you've had any surgery or illness since your last appointment.



Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. Brush your tongue, too. Once a day, use floss or an interdental cleaner to clean between teeth.



Mouthwashes are generally cosmetic and do not have a long-lasting effect on bad breath. If you must constantly use a breath freshener to hide unpleasant mouth odor, see a dentist. If you need extra help in controlling plaque, the dentist may recommend using a special antimicrobial mouth rinse. A fluoride mouth rinse, used along with brushing and flossing, can help prevent tooth decay.

Kunuka midomo si suala wa WaTanzania tu,kila mtu anaweza akanuka mdomo.
Mara nyingi huu unaweza ukawa ni ugonjwa au kutojali usafi wa kinywa.
Kusema ya kuwa Watanzania tunanuka midomo,mimi hilo suala nalipinga.

Nilipokuwa nyumbani,mara nyingi kawaida watanzania tumezoea kupiga mswaki mara moja kwa siku(asubuhi) tu.
Na vitu kama chakula,soda,sukari n.k. vinapokuwa kinywani kwa muda huzaa vijidudu(bacteria).Halafu mbaya zaidi unakuta mtu anakandamizia na Big G...LOL. Mtafaruku wa mdomoni lazima hautakuwa mzuri.

Hii ni true story ilinitokea....... Niliumwa jino huku States miaka ya nyuma,so nikaenda kwa Dentist...... Jamaa akaniuliza ni lini mara ya mwisho ulisafisha meno???? Nikamjibu huwa napiga mswaki kila siku. Akanibishia haiwezekani.......na mimi nikamuuliza kwa nini??? Akaniambia meno yangu yanaonekana machafu sana,na kinywa changu kimejaa anaerobic bacteria (usually cause Halitosis).
Niliishiwa nguvu kabisa......nikamuuliza naweza kupambana vipi na huu ugonjwa????
Na kunifahamisha njia pekee ya kupambana na hili gonjwa ni profesional teeth clean(dentist) at least 3 to 4 times a year. (b)Kupiga mswaki atleast mara mbili kwa siku.....na kutumia Mouthwash kusukutua kinywa mara kwa mara.
Nilifuata hayo niliyoagizwa na nikaona matokea ya kushangaza na kuwa na kinywa kisafi.

I feel sorry kwa mademu niliowala denda miaka ya nyuma bongo....eeewwwww LOL.

Tatizo kubwa kwetu binadamu ni kumuona mwenzako ananuka mdomo na kumuonea aibu usimuambie....mara nyingi mtu anaponuka mdomo hata yeye mwenyewe anakua hajitambui kama mdomo unatema..wewe uliyembele yake ndio unapata shida...unavumilia hiyo kero pasipo kumuambia..hii humfanya anayenuka mdomo kutochukua hatua yeyote kuondoa hilo tatizo sababu yeye anajua hana tatizo lolote kwenye kinywa.. na anaendelea ku believe kabisa kua mswaki wa mara moja tu asubuhi una msaidia sana na mdomo haunuki kabisa..kumbe mawazo yake ni tofauti na hali halisi....kumbuka miswaki tunayopiga huondoa uchafu kwa asilimia chache tu...na mbaya zaidi kama utakua hupigi usiku kabla ya kulala..maana unakua unatengeneza ukumbi wa bakteria kushambulia fizi zako na kuanza kutengeza harufu mbaya bila ya wewe kujijua........

Tunapokua tuna kiss..basi hapo ni siri nyingi sana hufchuka....sema ni uvumilivu tu ndio unaotawala..ila laiti tungalikua tunaambiana ukweli kuhusu hali ya vinywa vyetu nafikiri matatizo kama haya yangepotea kabisa...kwa sabubu sio shughuli kubwa kufanya kinywa chako kisiteme tena.......nenda kwa dokta anakusafisha meno unapewa ushauri uwe unapiga mswaki zaidi ya mara moja kwa siku na uwe una tumia mouth wash baaasi... shughuli imeisha na uta kua una smile always with confidence....

Kuna wengine hata akisafisha mdomo kwa mswaki na dawa ya meno in 5 minutes time mdomo unajibu....Kwa kweli ni kero sana nadhani wale wenye haya matatizo it's better wakapata ushauri wa ma-dentist otherwise ni noma unaweza kukuta kademu kako bomba kinoma lakini kinywani we!!!!!
Why no? She needs to maintain her cleanliness.
