For the salary question, you have to do some background work to find out the salaries the company offers for the position you are applying for, or similar job positions in other companies, so that yu have a range, its always wiser to give a range from which you can then bargain!!!

to bargain you convince based on the qualities/experiences you are bringing to the company, yaani why you are the best and deserve to be paid that much!

dont downplay yourself too much or state outrageous amounts.

Mkuu Isayamwiti... ni kweli kabisa.... kinachoweza kubadilika ni wording but the essence is the same.Labda iwe taasis uchwara isiyojali kupata the best..inayofanya interview kama by the way huku wameshachagua watu wao tayari.

This is tricky depending on whether you have a job already or you are jobless!
There is no point selling yourself too high when you dont have a job...if you have one already you can gamble for a bigger salary afterall you are not in a desperate situation..au mnasemaje?

Tuandamane; Interview ya mdomo kwangu mimi si kigezo peke yake cha kupata mfanyakazi mzuri. The same applies to politics.

Kunaweza kuwa na candidate mzuri sana lakini katika interview si mzuri ingawa vitendo au kazi anaiweza. Tumeona wakati mwingine mtu anakuwa mzuri katika oral interview lakini kazi akipewa asifanye vizuri.

Mimi ningeshauri ni wakati muafaka waajiri waangalie vigezo vya zaidi ya oral interview. Kama kuna uwezekano watoe na parctical on-job interview kwa kati ya wiki moja na mwezi for a given piece of work. This can tell a lot.

Kwa Tanzania, ningeshauri ili kuwasaidia vijana wetu wanaomaliza masomo ambao hawana experience ya kazi, kuwe na mfumo wazi wa kuwaajiri hata kwa kati ya miezi sita hadi mwaka as Trainees. Hii itawasaidia kuwajenga na kuwapa uwezo wa kufahamu kazi zinazokusudiwa wazitende.

The enquiry about salary is a very tricky one. The magic is to do salary survey before going to the interview, remember you are going as a professional and not a beggar. Dont cheap yourself, straight tell the panelits the quantity you are willing to accept, you should also having your minimum number below which they should not waste their time to offer you job. Remember, the mistake you will make on that day (of the interview) gonna affect your entire emolument throught.

My experince this is always POORLY answered by most Tanzanians when attending interviews. I happen to be a panelist and people comes with silly answers, that anything you can offer I will accept, or your company has already set the salary within your scales etc My fellow Tanzanians this where a Kenyan or some one from Uganda will be paid more that you for the same job if both sitting in a multinational companies for an interview. This is where you need a good research to know the entities of the salary, know how much is a net balance after those stupid taxes. Breakdown the numbers into small silos and DEFEND (say why). Understand the market price and rank it within your job capability.

Ni position ya finance and administrative officer,
1.nina experiance ya 5years on finance/accounts dept
2.responsible for payrol,financial reporting,preparing budget,responding to auditors statements etc
3.on international NGO....

Just give me a clue ingekuwa wewe ungeandikaje???

QM, jamani we know out of experience that this question pops up in most if not all interviews, so the best is to prepare beforehand but dont make it look like you reherased for it.. LOL. match your positive traits, qualifications and experiences to the job in question!
 
Hakuna kitu kirahisi kama interview (hasa technical). wanakuuliza maswali ambayo majibu yake unayo-kazi kwako kuyapanga!! (labda kama unacv ya kuchonga!). Maandalizi pekee ya kufanya ni kuwasoma wao (kuifahamu kampuni/taasisi) KWISHNEI. Sema ukweli mtupu, wakikutosa ujue wao ndy hawakufai, si wewe ndy huwafai. Mwaka flani nilikkuwa nafukuzia kazi kampuni flani ya ulinzi!...moja wapo ya swali ktk written interview lilikuwa hv "Je, kuna muda huwa unakosa uvumilivu au subira?" Nilijibu NDIYO! Wakanitosa, teh teh! teh!
 
Tuandamane katoa hayo incase yameulizwa..sasa mtu ambaye ataclaim atakuwa na matatizo ya akili...na pia katoa angalizo tu kwakuwa ni maswali common ktk interview..
 
Nshafanya technical interview....asikwambie mtu...anayekufanyia anajua unatakiwa ujue nini kwenye kazi yako..then ndio anakufanyia interview...anakuja na 17 question ambazo ni moja kwa moja zinahusiana na kazi yako...akiwa ameambatanisha na CV yako pembeni.

Hii inamaa kuwa ametoa maswali kulingana na CV yako...just imagine umefanya kazi fulani three years ago ukaandika kwenye CV yako then ndio linakuwa swali la kwanza kuulizwa...?

Harafu saa nane mchana tena kwa kiingereza....technical interview asikwambie mtu.

Kaka nakubaliana na wewe. Nilihudhuria interview flani kwa watu wa hovyo hovyo serikaliniMijitu inajua kuwa kuna zaidi ya position kumi na kila moja ina watu 5 halafu wote mnaambiwa mfike saa 2 asubuhi kama mahakamani. Wanajishebedua matokeo yake mnaanza saa saa 5 asubuhi. Kumbuka kutokana na ka pressure sikuweza hata kula asubuhi halafu huwezi kuondoka eneo la tukio kwa kuwa utaratibu wa mpango mzima wanao wao. matokeo yake unaitwa saa 9 mchana na kaubao halafu jamaa wanauliza technical qns. Unaweza kuombea mbingu ikufunike kwa kuwa unayo maswahibu mengi yanayo kuumiza wakati hiuo.

hili swali mara nyingi linaulizw ahta kwenye inteview. Jibu unalotakiw akutoa sio kuwa una elimu bora au
  • Sema u re a very good team player u can get along well with diff people. U consider yoursefl a hard worker
  • U re flexible- unaweza kuwa assigned station tofauti, unaweza kufanya baadhi ya kazinje ya reposnsilities zako wenye ujuzi nazo
  • Social. kama ni mwanamichezo au umewaii kufanya charity, etc
  • Sema u can work under pressure , u can work and deliver with minimum supervision(self organised).

Kuna mammbo mengi ya kusema kulingana na kazi unayoomba utajua . Usiweke Academic Qualification Au Achievment za kikazi rather taja personal individula characteristics zako wich can make u stand out from others.
 
jamani kasema common questions means they tend to appear so many times in most of the interviews; so si lazima uyakute ila ni rahisi sana kuyakuta..
