Power Steering Fluid na Differential Fluid zipo kwenye kundi la fluids ambazo uwa zinapotezewa sana wakati wa kufanya service, ilihali gharama zake ni ndogo kuzidi ata faini moja ya trafiki.

POWER STEERING FLUID
Power steering fluid inasaidis pampu ya steering kufanya kazi vizuri, kwa kufanya steering wheel kuwa nyepesi kuzungusha, hasa ukiwa kwenye speed ndogo au gari imesimama.

Kwahiyo kwa ufupi, PSF inalainisha pampu, inaounguza joto kwenye system ya steering, inszuia kutu na msuguano (kulika) kwa vipuri vya ndani.

Bila PSF, usukani unakuwa mzito, pampu inapata msuguano, na system nzima inaweza kuharibika.

Kabla hatujaenda kubadirisha PSF, lazima tujue kwanza gari lako linatumia Power Steering System ipi?
  1. Hydraulic Power Steering (HPS) — inatumia fluid, hii ndiyo ya zamani na bado ipo sana kwenye magari mengi tu.

  2. Electric Power Steering (EPS) — ya kisasa zaidi, haina hii fluid, hii topic haitakuhusu.

Kwahiyo Hydraulic Power Steering (HPS) ambayo Inahitaji Fluid utaiokuta kwenye magari mengi ya kawaida na SUV zilizotengenezwa kabla ya 2015.

Hii system inategemea pampu inayosukumwa na injini, na mafuta maalum kama Power Steering Fluid (PSF) au ATF Dexron.

Mifano ya magari yenye Hydraulic Steering ni Toyota Noah, Harrier (zamani), Crown, Mark X, Corolla Fielder, Hilux, Prado 120, Pajero, Nissan X-Trail old, Subaru Forester SG, Suzuki Swift 2008, Mazda Demio old, Caravan, Navara, etc.

Baadhi naweza kua nimekosea ila tutarekebishana.

Na bei zinaenda Tsh 20,000 – 30,000 kwa lita na magari mengi yanahitaji kiasi kidogo tu cha nusu lita hadi lita 1, kila baada ya miaka 2-3 au kilometa 50,000 hadi 60,0000 kutegemea brand.

Dalili za Fluid Kuchakaa au Kupungua:
  • Usukani unakuwa mzito au unashtuka shtuka wakati wa kukata.
  • kunakua na sauti flani pale wakati unakata.
  • Rangi ya mafuta inabadilika (kutoka nyekundu kua kahawia hadi nyeusi)
  • Kuvuja kwenye mipira au pampu.
Unapofanya Service au ukienda gereji:
  • Fundi asiongeze tu mafuta juu ya ya zamanil, atoe yote (full flush, mara nyingi wanatumia droper kama hii chini)

  • Tumia fluid iliyoandikwa kwenye mfuniko wa tank la PS
  • Angalia leaks chini ya pampu au karibu na reservoir.
Kwa ufupi Kuhusu EPS (Electric Power Steering)

Magari mapya kama Toyota Aqua, Vitz 2012+, Axio 2015+, Honda Fit GP5, Mazda Demio SkyActiv, Corolla Cross, CH-R, Nissan Note e-Power yana Electric Power Steering (EPS).


EPS haina fluid kabisa, inatumia motor ya umeme kusaidia kukata kona hivyo hakuna fluid service ya kufanya.

DIFFERENTIAL FLUID

Differential ni kifaa kinachogawa nguvu kutoka gearbox kwenda kwenye matajri na kuruhusu kila gurudumu kuzunguka kwa kasi tofauti. Inaweza ikawa sio definition nzuri lakini atleast.

Mafuta yake (differential oil) yanakazi ya kulainisha meno ya gear, upunguza joto, na uzuia kutu ndani ya diff.

Magari ya RWD na AWD/4WD yana differential tofauti na gearbox, kwa hiyo lazima ibadilishwe mafuta yake. Mfano:
  • BMW 3/5/X3/X5 (RWD/AWD)
  • Mercedes-Benz C/E-Class
  • Toyota Mark X, Crown, Hilux, Prado, Land Cruiser, Harrier 4WD, Subaru Forester, X-Trail AWD, Pajero, CX-5 AWD
Tutasaidiana kuconfirm ambayo nimeyaweka mahala sio sahihi.

Magari ya FWD hayahitaji DF kwakua differential iko ndani ya gearbox (transaxle) na inatumia transmission oil ile ile.

Ni vizuri kubadirisha differential fluid kila 40,000–60,000 km (au kila miaka 3–4.

Usipobadirisha kwa muda sahihi, mafuta yanapoteza viscosity na kupelekea gear hupata msuguano mkali, kusagika kwa meno ya gear na inaweza kupelekea differential kufa (gharama kubwa kiasi sometimes hadi 1.5M–3M Tsh).

Differential oils common zinazopatikana bongo ni:

  • Castrol Axle EPX 80W-90 – 25,000 Tsh/litre
  • Shell Spirax S4 75W-90 – 28,000 Tsh/litre
  • Total Transmission Gear 8 75W-90 – 22,000 Tsh/litre
  • Toyota Genuine Diff Oil 90 – 30,000 Tsh/litre.

Diff oil mara nyingi inaingia lita 1 hadi 1.5 kwahiyo kwa gharama ya 40-60k unabadirisha.

Ukienda garage kwa fundi:
  • Hakikisha wanatoa yote (usiweke mpya juu ya ya zamani)

  • Angalia kama oil ya zamani ina chembe za chuma (dalili ya gear kulika)
  • Tumia viscosity sahihi kama ilivyo kwenye manual (mfano 80W-90 au 75W-90)
  • Kwa AWD, kumbuka kuna front na rear diff zote zinahitaji kubadilishwa.

Kwa leo tuishie hapa. Ila tukumbuke mafuta haya mara nyingi yanapuuziwa, lakini yakichakaa uharibu sehemu za gharama sana.
