A bodyguard of the Chief Justice Augustino Ramadhani, Mzee Mnyeti (32) was yesterday morning found dead at his residence at Makumbusho area in Dar es Salaam.
Chief Justice Augustino Ramadhani confirmed the death, saying the deceased was found dead after the door into his house was broken to gain access but could not give more details.
He instead directed the reporter to contact the police for further information.
Speaking to The Guardian by telephone Kinondoni Regional Police Commander Elias Kalinga also confirmed the sudden demise of Mnyeti.
He said the death occurred at his residence at Makumbusho in the city.
It is true, the body was recovered at around 8:45 in the morning after breaking down the door to gain access to his room said Kalinga.
Kalinga said police were investigating clues surrounding the death of Mnyeti.
According to RPC Kalinga, who did not want to comment further on the matter fearing to jeopardize investigations, the late Mnyeti was until his death unmarried.
According to reports reaching this paper, the late Mnyeti was with the CJ up to around 8pm on Sunday and in good health.
