Wenzetu Kenya Airways wametonywa, ndege zao ambazo hazijaruka hewani muda mrefu, watalazimika kuzipeleka service nzito, ama sivyo kuna hatari ya engine zake ku- stall (kuzima) hewani.

Kwa hiyo Air Tanzania vile vile wauchukue mtonyo huo na kuufanyia kazi.

Kenya Airways will be forced to inspect afresh the engines of its 10 Boeing 737 New Generation aircraft after the US aviation regulator warned that they could stall mid-air after being grounded for months.

The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) said the Boeing 737NG aircraft that have been idle since the outbreak of Covid-19 could form corrosion on the air check valves, an anomaly that can lead to stalling of the two engines when the airplane is flying.

Ndege zinakuwa na injini tofauti unawezakuta ni Gulfstream ina injini za Rolls-Royce, Embrael ina injini za Safran, Airbus ina injini za P&W. Huo utofauti wa injini unachangia kuwa na tofauti ya specifications na maintenance.

Hata mimi si mtaalam wa jet propulsion engine ,lakini kwa elimu niliyonayo najua kuwa any fossil crude oil inayokuwa refined kutoa any kind of propulsion fuel, kuna kitu inaitwa wax.
Wax inabaki kwenye fuel kwa kiwango fulani kulingana na refinery husika.
Hivyo jet fuel nayo ina wax impurities.
Sasa jitahidi ujue madhara ya wax katika jet fuel ili ujue inavyoweza kuganda katika fuel na kusababisha engine ku stall.
