As I said days ago, my information is that Arsenal will not sign Philippe Coutinho, despite reports from L’Equipe that it is very close.

A friend told me Coutinho links were fabricated in order to make Arsenal appear a more attractive destination and sign top defensive targets.
 
Arsenal are not pursuing Coutinho. They are ‘actively’ looking for a centre back. [@LaurensJulien]

Yes, I've seen Julien Laurens report, and while he is reliable, L'Equipe are, too, and Bilel Ghazi is usually very reliable, so I'm inclined to trust his words more as he isn't one to make up stories for clicks. We'll have to wait & see, but I do think Coutinho is close to .

Coutinho has been offered to #AFC and other PL clubs but the Gunners can’t aford him as per #FCB radio RAC1.
