Hyderabad: Two policemen were allegedly assaulted by three Tanzanian youths on Saturday after they tried to intervene in a scuffle between the trio.

The youths, travelling in car, were allegedly in an inebriated condition when their vehicle dashed into another car.

They had a brawl with the occupants of car and reportedly beat them up. The victims called the police for help and .

When the policemen reached the spot, the youths assaulted them, police said.

The policemen, a sub-inspector and a constable, received minor injuries.

The Tanazanian nationals have been put under arrest and a case has been registered against them.
