African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Signals have been stable except 11617 which tends to fade at night. It is currently raining now and I'm getting 56% -57% Discovery on 11554 E! ent 11513 is around 57-58% now thought it is normally around 60%. Generally the only freq that is temperamental is 11617.
If it is not raining tomorrow I will get you morning and evening signal strengths

Yes that is correct. The trickiest frequency to achieve is 11617 that has History and Nat Geo. The rest are stable. it took alot of patience but is 7E achievable

Thats true the 11617 is pullin a disapering act on the 150cm offset popin in n out on the meter never locking!
11575V is better though its cracking during cloud cover!am considerin the satelite age coz two years ago couldnt miss a transponder on Europe B! :\

Much appreciated guys,
what can i do to bring the signals to at least 60% on clear night?

Satellite operator Eutelsat began migrating services from satellite Eutelsat 8 West A to Eutelsat 8 West C (formerly Eutelsat Hot Bird 13A and Hot Bird 6) @ 8 ° W.
Moved transponders on the new satellite Eutelsat 8 West C:
* Freq 11.054 GHz, pol H SR 27500, FEC 3/4, DVB-S/QPSK
* freq 11.137 GHz, pol H SR 27500, FEC 3/4, DVB-S/QPSK

For viewers in Central Europe, the change marks the end of reception of the transponder with Arab channels with relatively small antennas.

Eutelsat 8 West C will be replaced byv Eutelsat 8 West B , which will take place in the second half of 2015.

Pls any one, show me feed horn, attachement. I don't know feed horn look like.

I want to use c band lnb on 90cm dish.

My friend chief in BGM has managed to get a WiFi USB Adapter working on his updated SRT 4922 , I have also read in some naija forum that this does indeed work. However chief soita uses an unknown adapter.

I have tried using D-Link N 150 adapter and TP-Link TL-WN321G, but both are not recognized.

Has anyone tried this out there? because I am keen on making use of the free high speed wireless internet available where I stay

Infact tho are the only two methods...earlier back in the analog era we used to listen to the tv while turning the dish!it was like settin an aerial nowdays til u get a clear picture : )

I remember doing that with a lot of nostalgia.. getting cnn analogue,one TV (now dubai one) on Arabsat was easy. now on the digital age there's no in btwn. u either get a signal or you dont

Ruffcast

which location are you , using 90cm dish and getting cnn,

I did this in mbita- shores of lake victoria monkey13 has also managed to get it from his location in Kapenguria. People located on the "upper" part of kenyan are more close to the beam than the rest.
