i need the prices for 6ft prime focus dish+4-way lnb and 130cm ofset dish+4-way lnb
im thinking of replacing my ofset dish with prime focus pliz assist

my mid morning forays in ASAS forums has lead to the knowledge that chinasat12 is nailable in my location. i have come to this conclusion after looking at the MENA beam although in my location (mombasa) the dish has to be upside down. with irib channels on ku it means more football channels for free.

Great job. Is the commentary for the football matches in English or Arabic? Are the matches live or delayed? I guess it might be possible to receive the sat with a 65Cm offset from Nairobi too - since I can get SES4 (22West) with a 65Cm, which is almost equal distance to the Chinasat. From 22W to Nairobi (36E) = 58 degrees; while from Nairobi (36E) to 87.5E = 51.5 degrees. Similar beam strength (EIRP in dBW units). Will try. Thanks.

Confirmed Irib 3 & Irib Varzesh are on Chinasat 12 ku band.

IRIB Varzesh on frequency 12706 H DVB-S2 8PSK SR 22500
Channel name SCC TV16

Irib 3 on frequency 12706 H DVB-S2 8PSK SR 22500
Channel Name SCC TV3

Irib 3 tv also on frequency 12722 H DVB-S SR 22000
Channel name SCC TV 03

Both channels in Persian with a bit of English commentary in the background.

Signal Quality on Frequency 12706 H DVB-S2 8PSK SR 22500 @ 80% on 90cm offset dish.


Chinasat 12 C-Band also active with 6 radio stations on frequency 4035 H DVB-S SR 1200.
Confirmed on 1.8 meter prime focus dish

I have not had no chance to work with Wiz999 HD receiver but what i know is that you will need to first patch your receiver with the latest Wiz999 HD firmare patch.

You can get the patch software from .ast-micsupport.net

Wiz-999 FTA HD (27-3-13)

Once you load your receiver with the said firmware, Press Menu and then Press 7999 to activate or deactivate key menu which might most likely appear under installation menu.

If pin 7999 doesn't work, try pin code 9999.

Interesting, this is Mr strong himself speaking: latest model SRT4950H with enhanced features going at USD45, old model SRT 4922 going at USD68. I wonder why.

The modulation aspect of Srt 4950H and Srt 4922 in terms of 16/32psk is the same.
Just a bit of changes on Srt 4950 H,
1. Increased processor speeds 2GB,
2. Addition of UHF output,
3. Additional USB port (2 USB PORTS) to host Wifi adpaptor, Usb to Lan conveter, 3G modem, content recording, multimedia files play-out and software upgrade.
3. Multicas embedded card reader.

Thanks Kungu. I managed to get NSS 12 although it was a little elusive. But I am still having trouble with the Yahsat. I keep moving up until I think its too far and then I come back down to NSS 12 to try moving up again. I dont know if I am moving to fast or what but I will keep trying.

Any thing I might be doing wrong. I also notice that the boundaries for Yahsat are a bit off from Kampala. Maybe the 90 cm isnt big enough.

If you have an android phone,install Satellite AR application from Google play webiste >>>https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...dreality&hl=en to enable you get the loaction of Yahsat 1A.

In Nairobi which is way away from Yahsat 1A footprint, i can get frequency 12169 H DVB-S SR 27500 on a 90 cm offset dish.

Thanks Kungu, After alot of turning and shifting I managed to get the 12169 transponder at 41%. However it is very fickle and the slightest change makes it disappear. However in the past I have had some issues with my LNB and cable which could account for this weak signal. Let me me sort that out and see what happens as I look for a better LNB.

Once again thanks. from the stuttering picture I could pick out Fox Movies and Series, which is exactly what I wanted. Maybe after alittle more twisting i will get the other transponders going too. I have an HD receiver and there are many free HD channels on that satellite I would want to check out.
