how did u manage to connect your 3G modem?. my HAUWEI E303 failed to connect.

Am using the same modem and it working very well. Hope you have updated to latest patch of 19-08-2013
Plug modem,
Then
Menu/system settings/IP settings

2 options should be available i.e. Ethernet and 3G modem.

Under 3G Modem, enter numbe (*99#) and APN press the red button to connect.

You mean if your modem simcard number is 0792505020 then under number you enter *0792505020# or not??
Please confirm if I am correct using the above number as an example. Thanks.

No, just put *99# instead of the sim no. Switch off then on and all is well after pressing the red button to connect. if the modem lights constant blue ignore the not connected info, all is good.

i did the same. but stil failed to connect.
the only network available here is safcom 2.5G(EDGE). could this be a problem?

Yes that is it. The sw is only compatible to 3g and not 2g. If all the parameters are set correctly the modem will be connected automatically(provided u re in 3g coverage)

Seems yours is having another problem, all is reguired is a 3G modem. Mine when connected keeps changing between 2G and 3G (green and blue colour)

Today i thought of adding another lnb to pick astra 2f, fortunately succeeded and now there are 7 lnbs on the 8ft. I.e ku 68.5E, 64.2E, 60.0E, 57E, ku 52.5E, 36E, and 28.2E. Setup picture to be posted later.

Only ntv uganda cracks a little at night, but the rest are stable throughout. I have not tried 10E.
