Spotted in the neighbourhood a 2.4 m mesh prime focus dish that has seen better day and in true spirit of ASAS am about to gather courage to ask for it. Problem is, the mesh is virtually gone from the frame. Question; How easy or difficult is it to re-mesh it, and how accessible is the material for the same?

you can either use fine mesh,very fine mesh, ' goose' wire sa they call it,perforated aluminum sheet, galvanized sheet etc

First use frequency 4094 Horizontal Symbol rate 3680 F.E.C 2/3 to track Intelsat 904.Maximize it and then put frequency 3644 Vertical Symbol rate 8545 F.E.C 2/3.

Make sure to insert Teflon inside the lnb.

What do u want to watch on intel 906? Amos 5 has all those EATV n ITV plus more.

The above sat is the new addition to Eutelsat fleet....after nabbing a few transponders from Badr I gave it a short.....
I got all the transponders including the ones hosting the B*IN packages.....In Kabete East Africa sing a 150cm offset! :biggrin:

Judging by the footprint it can be received all over Kenya but for our Tanzanian brothers you may need upto 3M antennae...Am getting a signal strength of 66% on the available transponders...

Move the dish elevation upward slowly.Use frequency 4026 Horizontal Symbol rate 2963 to track NSS12.

You should have flipped sone pages back to get few answers. Anyway, with your 6ft pf you can nab 42 channels at amos 5 and 7w nilesats MBCs depending on your location, not forgetting 7e if you are adventurous enough.
