When I get the download from Crosat its a .stb file that is not extracting anything on my computer. Am I doing it wrong?

You need to unzip patch firmware after downloading.

Download firmware labeled SRT4920_4922_4922A_184p_150810.zip from Sat Upload Center | Humax | Strong | Dreambox | Tv Channels | Sky Star 2 | Biss | Keys

Remember to unzip the file using any unzipping software like WinRAR or WinZip.

Upgrade your receiver firmware using the unzipped file.

Save the software on a USB Stick & upload the software in your Receiver as follows>>
--Plug the USB Key in your receiver...
--Go to Menu, External Device, File Manager
--Select the software you have saved on your USB stick
--Press OK
--The receiver will load the software and reboot.

Your receiver will reboot once the new firmware patch is loaded.

To active or de-active the patch, enter code 6969 again 6969

To access Biss key table enter code 8280 when the patch is active.

Other codes >>>> 8281 CS and 8282 for encryption table.

sirmeus.. can you try below procedure & assume as if the receiver is corrupt & maybe it will accept the sw you have in a flash drive. just ensure the flash drive has no other files apart from the sw.

That's the kind of strong receiver that i have. it seams as though its a fake, but it has a strong software. lets hope we can be able to help each other and get a patch for it

If its the fake one, don't stress yourself, use it as a loop or usb media reader because after a while its going to consistently reboot itself when you connect it to the satellite.

The softcam I have right now only has European PowerVu keys. PowerVu for Asian satellites not available as yet. It will be out soon.

dear muzombozi, kindly give me that softcam even its for europian channels and it will help me lot!
