African Satellite World and Sat Gear

My bro, that is the reason for that BUD you see there. Your 90cm will not nab that bird in totality from where you are at. You will be able to nab the Africa beam but to be able to enjoy all the goodies, think of anything from 130cm offset or 180cm pf BUD and above.
This is what the bird has to offer Eutelsat 7A at 7.0°E - LyngSat

Thanks Gich, i'll have to acquire the 130cm soon and start the hunt.

One more detail (important one), your location? That bird is elusive and this particular detail is important.

Vicwa, Mine is dead i just wanted to use the software of a working decoder to load into it to see what it will become of.The Strong Tech pple suggested a flash memory bootloader damage hence can not respond to normal reviving methods. If i use a PC tool it can upgrade properly, but wont boot, just blank. Please assit me if you can.

Used my neimbas D**V dish as guide and got multi****ce channells 285 of them. S80, Q90. Now directions 7E or 201 pliz.
This is a positive step. You are on Eutelsat 36 on 35.9e, where the Big Bro sits. Now select Eutelsat 7A on 7e on your 4950H and select tp 10721V27500 and lower the dish slowly till you get green on quality on this tp. Maximize the quality. Then select a more troublesome tp like 10804H30000 and see if you can get the max quality. Remember to turn lnb clockwise and anticlockwise and if it has a neck back and forth. Once you hit the optimal, blind scan your stb.

Hey Vicwa thanks for this biswise info.

Just by gleaning through this post, I bet you must be their loyal agent.

... and obviously they'll give Z*k* a run for their dear money (given their Locals "fta offer?").

Unfortunately the client wanted the one positioned @ 22¡ãW but i m through with the job after hitting green on both EAST & GLOBAL tps on this sat

Nice job Bro and what a coincidence? I also have a client URGENTLY interested in the same setup (i.e 22w).

Why not share with me your quickie tips: dish size, etc. Hope ulitumia BBC tp for tracking purposes. Shukran.

Voila with a 130cm, though my success was only academic and I was left reminiscing Reinhold Niebuhr's serenity prayer; turning my 130 to face East is out of question. The 90cm totally failed. I have a feeling an 100cm would bring them down because the signal was just peeping with the 90cm.

Please edit your post. I don't receive the goodies but would hate to have them gone. A quick Google search will lead the enemies of FTA to your post.

Done that. now enjoyin the goodies @ 7W usin my 90cm d*tv dish in the Noth Rift. More international news channels than I need plus a couple of sport(some are HD) n movie channels.Even the erstwhile skeptical missus is impressed. Now am seeking another challenge. Am getting a new dish preferably 130cm offset or 180cm prime focus soon.my quesson is - which is the most interesting bird to be had whith such a dish in the North Rift? Thanks guys. FTA for life

Hi Langas, while on north rift I would say you are very lucky.180cm and Str 4922 or Srt 4950 will be sufficient for you. With it while in the region you can comfortably nab the elusive channels on 7e Europe beam with lots of ease. All the troublesome channels you will get.You can also add top of 7e lnb one for 7west and at the lower add Amos 5.
