Hi kevin11, have u managed to nab the digitu*k goodies using a 1.8m pf in Dar? I believe Dar is further from the equator than Mombasa(cant nab it with 180cm pf) hence nabbing dgtu*k will need something bigger eg 240cm offset...I stand to be corrected :smile-big:

I have always wanted to know the capabilities of a 2.4m pf mesh dish.what's the best setup for it in order to get the most out of it without foil?as I remember someone once mentioned an experiment on this forum but never fed us back.mine is positioned on 68.5e nakuru.matokeo tafadhali

I think with the foil was when on KU band or on weak freqs, otherwise C band works well anytime, some work with large holes on the mesh, ive seen some without mesh-panels, they could be working :smile-big:

Hi asas?today i tried my luck on 7a with my1.8pf n eurostar lnb n results were a bit different...after fine tuning wth samson lnb quality still @ 62-63 on tp 10804,11845 while tps for 11617 onwards are hittin Q32..wth the eurostar lnb a Q68-69 for 10804,11845 n 11617 @ Q 54-55..not yet through due to time but tomorrow we'll see

Morning guys...want to introduce my atha galfriend Shallie.Asas say hie to Shallie. She has a 3.6m bottom and av introduced her to four guys namely Astra 2f at the bottom,Amos 5/eutelsat 16,eutelsat 10a and finally eutelsat 7a at the top and she is handling them well in hot and cold weather.
Today I want to congratulate her by adding nilesat at the top...hope she will continue enjoying all of them thus benefiting me by reducing the amount of dishes in my firm.

Samson lnb is not good for prime focus dish, especially if you want to use it at the focal position. Still, please provide us with a picture of that Eurostar lnb.

I used to do the South east africa beam with 1.8pf and I used to nab the sub saharan beam too... though the subsaharan beam is mostly french language based... that was a long time ago in another forum when the Canal Sat reunion channels went fta !!!
