My suspicion too...the update patch hasn't been unzipped. Mashaa needs to unzip the patch to enable his receiver read the file.

I experienced the same sometime back then I realised I had been duped the srt 4922a was a fake. Confirm if your decoder is a genuine one from strong.

Check if it has a serial number at the back that is the 1st step. Mine had none. From the strong website you can check using the serial number. Most fakes don't even have a serial number.

I'm looking to acquire one to record and replay programs and movies..hop it's sounds a good idea.. that issue where it deletes data from the drive is quite shocking as one member said

you can find cn by pressing menu-system setting -system security-password 0000 then code number is higlighted with blue..

type both serial and cn to validate your receiver.

the receiver i have doesnt have serial no. and the cn is not bringing anything, i gess that's why it didn't detect the software patch

First model and second model,can work that way(black& silver) on new model you go FTA scan and add new tp,NB the old model can only do that once u have connected it to ses5 and downloaded the software through the pilot frequency 11728H 27500

HIGHLANDS PATRON and gkogolah: My fta zu*u decoder got fried today. It completed downloading the software upgrade and went off. Is there anything that can be done to revive it? Thank you.
