Incidentally my e2 is at Q-89% and S-78% but this elusive Idman won't pop up. I even tried to manually search this tp but it yielded nothing. I guess what that contends now is an inevitable trip to destination rooftop for the tweaking?

Hey Gich. Search for Ydman instead of Idman under 'Others' in alphabetical channels list or in 'Y'. You might have nabbed it already and it's probably hiding there..

May day may day dish down! Brought down the 7w dish; nothing so important there now since most of good stations left us in the dark. I have 4 other dishes, two 6 feet prime focus and two 90 cm offset. Decoders: astrovox vsr 9000 HD (obsolete), astrovox 290 fta plus (bleeper helps in sat hunting), strong 4922, the under world (please don't ask what it is) with DLNA capability and too cool list of premium IPTV content, GOTV's dvb T2 (in the archives), and latest Azam. I use TP-LINK Router (kSH. 3000) for networking. My phone supports DLNA, so I can play a movie from my computer(s) to the decoder using my phone. Or I could simply play files directly from my computer with the decoder without any physical connection. Well I have declared my ASAS wealth.

It has 4 USB ports in total (3 at the back and 1 front).
It still runs on 4922 memory and processor.
How I wish they had put in the more powerful 4950H processor and bigger memory.
I am wondering when or if they will ever upgrade their 4910 combo terrestrial/satellite receiver to handle T2.
It would come in handy in these days of digital migration.

Using the scarce resource at my disposal I would rather buy an external multi usb device.

GICH for SRT 4950 H you need to twekle your lnb unless you meant vise versa Q= 78% & S= 89%

hotbird, my bad I meant S=88/89% & Q=78%. Does this change the dynamics? I still can't seem to nail the idman tp. Here is a shot

Thanks brother for the encouragement, I'll go forth and seek this elusive idman. I have exactly what you have safe the srt which I've a 4950h. And I'm not very far from where you are at either.

Gich, it is not true that you have Q89 and S78 on 10804V 29900 and Idman does not pop up, in fact with such signal strength you would receive all goodies on europe b beam of 7A without a problem. On my side, I have 10804V at 64% signal quality and Idman pops in though not stable. Please check again and report here.

Ugango, actually it's S=88/89% & Q=78%. See my snapshot above. But I'm still getting a S of 74% and a Q of 0% on the idman tp.

Hi wakariru,
Your srt 4950H will sure revive. All you need to do is get an empty usb disk or format one. REMEMBER, it has to be empty. Halafu follow the simple steps outlined below on how to resurrect a 4950H.
Its that simple.

For strong 4950H:
1.Get an empty USB stick,
2.Go to SRONG official website Strong Technologies | Home page
3.Search and Save SRT 4950H software under USB(empty) flash drive and rename it as "ROM". I said "ROM" only. The receiver will auto detect it as "rom.bin"
4. Insert the USB into receiver.
5.Switch main power ON while pressing several times (2 or 3 times) the POWER button on remote control. Ensure the reciever is PROPERLY connected to the mains power.
6.The Receiver will auto detect the software and download it.
7.WARNING: Restore Factory default settings.
8.finally, let us measure your success rate.

Plus if you so wish Google "crosat" and PATCH your stb with the latest sofware to enjoy the famed Digit*rk. Remember to unzzip the same.

Probably my friend you may want to go through the forum to see comprehensive description of the the two stbs before you make a decision. Remember there are fake strong decoders there in the market, so be careful. Anyway I have srt 4922 and have never regretted.

But I am wondering, doesn't sirmeus have a fall back plan in terms of the dealer who sold that receiver? If the dealer sold it as original, then he has an obligation to replace it or refund.

Yes though there's no way to validate the srt4950h as yet.
