You can say that again! e-waste. I went through my shelves/cabinets/boxes... and I realized I have 2 DVB-T STBs, I have the GTV receiver, the D*tv decoder (not in use). I am now using a DVB-T2 STB and an SRT 4950 which I hope will not condemned soon by the introduction of new standards! I still remain uncured of asas though! #FTA4LIFE

Please explain further... a cam doesnt require a card ? what is a cam ? I thot a cam is a module which receives an encrypted card i.e irdeto cam conax cam etc

I got the cam from Dubai some one picked it for me. actually i bought a card to work with humax ir 2020hd but later i hated humax for it was not seeing 8 port diseqc and it could not blind scan. So then i sent for a cam (smart cam), by the way, it has a card inside. At home i have two receivers that can use a cam ie srt 4910 and Dynavision 7900hd. they both have 2 CI slots and can use the cam quite well. the cam comes wit one year subscription for my-HD.

Hi Hassan,
It is not possible to list satellites on your Zuku stb. However, Zuku fta decoder can pick any satellite transponder even though the default name remains as Ses 5. It comes with a dedicated blindscan feature.

Its very much possible to add new frequencies on your Zuku decoder(after ses 5 software upgrade) go to installation select tp then red button to add new tp then scan.

I prefer many times percent the Azam package and decoder to Go.tvs too basic and bad user inter-phase decoder. Azam holds FX, Natgeo gold, AMC, discovery science, indian channels (eg zee Cinema, colors and starGold) which can only be found on either special packages or the premium Ksh 1500 plus, on other providers. Thank Heaviejobs for helping me get hold of the Azam.

I think they make cash from advertisements, and most channels are local so they don't incur rights cost as the companies in kenya do just transponder fees. Considering the coverage of the satellite it might be cheaper to everyone and roll out is fast.

First model and second model,can work that way(black& silver) on new model you go FTA scan and add new tp,NB the old model can only do that once u have connected it to ses5 and downloaded the software through the pilot frequency 11728H 27500

in that case can i use zuku decoder to get amos5 by putting the tps in and direction of amos5?

Try tweaking the lnb and ensure the dish is properly aligned. If you achieve 65% and above(SRT 4922) on e2 frequency iDMAN will pop

Hi Jey,
Yes it is possible albeit with one big downside. You have to manually set the diseqc every other time you switch between satelites. It is not automatic.

Unless of course our guy gkogolah knows better.
