African Satellite World and Sat Gear

After much tweaking and sweating, no 3729 on 10e. Have sayare @ 70%, 3741 @ 75%, and 4039 @ 82%. Using srt4922 and 8ft p.f BUD to nab this bird. Any advise gurus, any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Morn all
You are on the right path ....10e is a tough nut to crack...its one of the rarerest weakest sattelites I have come to see so far...its C band can be eaven affected by rain 🙁
Work with Sayare Tp 3956R 1500 and maximize to almost 76% and the other tps will come in...
The Kenyan MUX Tp will crack even if it is at 70% on 4922....Thea I feel the 4950 will rise to the occasion and stabalize it"

fingers crossed i have a 130cm dish can it do the job? my thirst for this channel will make me do anything inorder to grace my tvset.
 
Glow TV on Yamal 401@54.9E and Lesotho TV on the same position tp 10998V2200.

It is encouraging to see a small country like Lesotho owning a satellite TV.
 
The 3 day Gotv free viewing on their dvbt2 stb has ended. Gosh I really hate this too simplistic decoder with only basic functions, poor signal quality. Long live FTA.

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between Gotv and D*tv? I have never taken interest since d*stv told me I needed to pay ksh. 1,800 to replace their smart card then I pay for the sub. Then I suffered asas and never looked back.

Please explain further... a cam doesnt require a card ? what is a cam ? I thot a cam is a module which receives an encrypted card i.e irdeto cam conax cam etc

Well in brief, Gotv uses common Tv Aerial while d.stv uses satellite dish. Gotv has channels chosen from d.stv though. D.stv is majorly a S. African based service while GOTV is a company co-owned by d.stv and KBC Kenya.

Flybird, please give full instruction for the benefit of members interested (I also want to wake up my dusty decoder) on what to do and how to t the decoder back to use etc. It will be very useful.

I will go look for mine, for top of my head I cannot even remember where I put it. I will study it and see if it can be of use as an FTA
