I am receiving this frequency in East Africa.My location is almost at the edge of the footprint as indicated on the map.You can only receive it in Kenya as fringe satellite using bigger dishes.This can be the alternative to Irib and PTV as both did not air the game due to a technical problem.

Amos 5 is located @ 17 degrees East.

Amos 5 has 1 footprint on c band which i will cover later

On Ku Band we have 3 footprints.

Amos 5 West-Central Ku-1 beam

In Kenya you require a 1.2 meter offset dish to access the ffotprint.
Current frequencies on the footprint include> 11801 V dvb-s Sr 27500 and 11884 V dvb-s Sr 27500

Amos 5 South-Central Ku-2 beam

This beam covers more of southern Africa.
Minimum dish requirement in Kenya, 1.6 meter offset dish.
For 8psk modulation you would require a 2.4 meter offset dish (frequency 12625 V dvb-s2 8psk SR 4000).

Amos 5 East-West Ku-3 beam

Dish size for this footprint from 60 cm offset upwards.
About 7 active frquies on this footprint.
Has 2 pay tv packages from Nigeria Infinity & Daarsat)
Also Family tv Kenya has 2 active frequencies on this footprint.

hi, I think the best way to enjoy my-hd is by buying a cam instead of a card. I bought a cam at 190 AED and am now am able to use my favorite receiver 'strong' and thus can do biss and blind scan. plus u do not get to pile and power up many receivers.
Not so cheap 190 AED is about 4750 which is more expensive than a full year subscription.However if i can load the cam to my 4950 i think am going for it. Who is selling the cam ? More info please
