African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Quite hard to do so.....even on a 240cm dish the only channel you going to receive is SAYARE on 3956R 1500 on 10E as the offset lnb

A challenge calls....

Is Sayare still active on this tp please confirm others are saying is off. This is the only channel on that bird I need to get.

How can someone combine 10e and 7e on one dish..if someone has a pic it will really help too.
Yes, one can. Check my previous posts for the setup. combined 10e, 7e, 16/17e, and 20e. currently have added 4.9e. its also possible to add 7w on the same setup. dish size 2.4m. srt 4922. all the best.

I thought c-band tp are between 3000-5000 and ku-band about 10000- 13000

It depends on the lnb settings on your decoder. if the lnb type is at universal in the decorder, the tp will be 12019(within ku band frequency range) though the actual lnb is c- band. if its at 5150, it will give you 3929 which is within the c- band frequency range. this is when hunting for kenyan mux at 10e

Hi Kip,
actually the tp (as per lyngsat.com and flysat.com) is 3729V DVBS-2/8psk MPEG-4 10321 5/6. I did a Blind scan on my stb and the KENYAMUX tp @10e c-band was reflected as 12019V10321 and 11169V10321

I think these variants were discussed elsewhere on this forum but I cant recall the exact thread-point.

Let the Gurus decide.
Actually the decoder works with the difference btn the recieved frequency & the local oscillator frequency at the lnb. There is 10.6 & 11.75GHz for ku and 5.15GHz I guess for c band. The difference can be mapped on any of the three bands.

sorry sat mate to return you to old ages of GTV, I have few of them in my place is there any ujanja to make it fta and accept diseque?

Fellow ASAS members,

I trust that you are all well. Can anyone confirm that these Saturday BEIN will only televise only 3 matches:drama:

Observing a minute of silence in memory of our brothers and sisters who lost their lives in Mandera, I genuinely find this post in bad taste- reeking of a NIMBY (not in my backyard) predisposition and profiling. Who knew the same bandits would strike Westgate not so long ago?It is my humble request that we keep the forum apolitical (which it has been thus far) or inclined to balkanize or stereotype certain individuals or regions, more so on matters relating to terrorism which is a global problem. I have already seen snippets of posturing and digging in of positions in that second post by the new member from Garissa (I think he goes by the moniker smashjeryus): something to the effect they may be in those not so safe areas but they enjoy life nevertheless. My point? Let's keep this a tech forum......just my thought.
I get your point but honestly I think for that dude it was just typical Kenyan banter samito... I am sure he meant it on-a-light-tone-manner-of-speech rather than a mean jab. It is when we go to "snippets of balkanizing posturing" that it starts to sound a bit too serious. But sure, we need to avoid getting too political in here, but it is ok to be not too stiff about the banter...
