The frequency is most likely on Eutelsat 7B East South East Africa footprint as per signal readings on my end>>>

Using 2.4 meter offset dish, signal quality @ 76% on Strong 4922 HD receiver.
Use the frequency spectrum analyzer on Srt 4922 HD to see if the frequency carrier is there.

Not possible..minimum dish size you need is 130cm offset, but for a stable signal get a 180cm pf or 150cm offset.

For those using beinsports decoder::

Is beinsport decoder good for business or I will have to stick to d**v.?
location nakuru

kindly assist"

Try at your own peril because big brother will be knocking on your door. Though they may not charge you, they will probably confiscate your card and report you to bein sports management for regional tv rights infringement and your decoder will be shut down.

Nice Sat Evening everyone. I had earlier inquired on any member who has nailed Intelsat 17 @66deg East C band to tell me. This is the reason I had asked the question. By the way this is the link to the lyngsat page of interest Intelsat 17 at 66.0°E - LyngSat I do not know if this is the satellite this decoder is supposed to receive (I am not from India you know)

Its called a videocon decoder, Digital DTH Service. I got it from a client who wants to view most importantly the following channels Star Vijay, Star Plus, Sun TV, Sun Music and Aadithiya channels. I do not know the client very well and neither does he know me very well, but he trusted me with the decoder today to test if those important channels will work. The humble client says that it should be installed to a dish on 66E. I am guessing C band since there is no Ku band package that has a footprint in Asia leave alone India.

Its a beautiful piece of tech, drawback is that it does not have a HDMI port.

This is the satellites landmass beam @66E

Problem is that I do not own a 2.4m Primefocus dish to test the decoder.

Who in Nairobi or near Nairobi can help me to test this decoder before I install it at his place. I do not know why but I doubt that this decoder is a pay tv C band decoder.

In the first post of this forum kungu1 posted he nailed it with a 2.4m pf dish. Is it still nailable and do all tps come through.

PS I am free the whole of tomorrow Sun.

i doubt even in the uk they stil use cards from italy nd greece nd nobody compllains.

I understand from forum members who have used OVHD decoder that it is locked to two TPs on SES5 namely 11996 H 27500 and 12073 H 27500, DVB-S2, MPEG-4. Its software does not allow one to add other satellites or even to scan FTAs on the SES5. Also, you may not use DiSEqC facility to add other satellites. Check previous posts.
Hence, it may not be a direct replacement for SRT4922.

However, OpenView HD, you'll get 18 channels, crystal clear digital quality pictures and sound, radio channels - and there will be more channels added.
The OpenView HD equipment prices start from R849 for consumers who already have any other satellite dish that they no longer use and require the decoder only. You will need to get it activated at S.Africa. Once it's activated, it is 'Free-to-view' forever.
