Here is my new Chinese made 180cm (6ft) offset dish fully assembled. It is partly meshed as you can see.
Please note the attached Chinese made twin Ku-band LNB with its conical scalar.
I now get all tps on 7E including 11618 V 30000 with Nat Geo and the good music with video.
My 11618 V comes in at 65% quality on SRT 4922 and this is the lowest tp, while others reach 98% quality which seems to be the absolute maximum you can get on Strong receivers.
I will soon add more LNBs to nab SES 5 and Nilesat Group on the same dish to reduce acreage on my dish farm.

Pliz, How do i get this dish? and at how much?

Turns out its just matketing swag. No tv, no satellite receiver, zero hakuna kitu. Ni hanjam tu.

Thanks to a very useful tip by my good old friend msondaa ,signal strength and quality has remarkably improved on Eutelsat 7A on 7E.
For those using prime focus it basically it involves using the c band scalar rings.( see photos below). In my case i am using a 180cm with a fuji lnb. It has now hit me how important the rings are and are essentially part of the lnb.

so anyway now enjoying channels that were previously unavailable.

BBC persia tp is currently at S84% Q90% - thats according to SRT 4950H among my favorites on the sat - CNN,BBC,Discovery SC,discovery,e2,BBC knowledge,MTV hits,MTV,Nickelodeon,Eurosport,disney,E!

Not at the moment....I hav taken my pleas from shop to shop in luthuli and river road and the answer is just the same......we cant stock the 150cm dish coz it aint a fast mover plus its bulky

that will push us to start fabricating the 150cm with fibre glass....building a near perfect copy 🙂

To try bring down the 7E bird with a 6ft Prime focus,already installed in the process of of aligning.
Personal: my emotional banks with the missus and kids has plummeted faster than the Ghana'Cedi. Hanging onto the thought the 6ft will provide a rescue

I have a friend with astrovox 290 but an installer who did the installation for him inputted a password so that he could be only one doing the job for him, any idea on how to break the password?

i think chief soita had tackled this in rdi, buy some popcorn, eka kahawa kwa thermos sit back and start from 0000 to 9999 and all the combinations in between. it may take a week or more depending on your speed. the gd thing with receivers is that you can pu passwords as many times as you want. make sure yu give us the feed back

Use rs232 cable and pc to clear ram and dump settings. You would need a loader from Astrovox and Micro-x Support page Good luck.

your conclusion valid, your big dish will solve the equation and you can also add ses5 and amos5 to the setup.

It had happened to me once during the good old days of RD I and that's what I did. In addition you will be left with some itchy fingers but the good thing is that by the time you hit 9999 you will have your password. Wish you all the best.

Giving up is a sin here. i am sure you can achieve better results than this. although you've not mentioned your location, i was able to get a quality of 70% on bbc persia compared to your 39%. i did this with srt 4922. srt 4950H is more sensitive hence can yield better results. 180cm pf dish will have more or less the same results. verdict: pick up yourself, dust off your blue tetra park overall, pick up your tools( you may include a spirit level) and head up the roof. tips: ensure your dish is properly alligned and the lnb proberly skewed. yes, you can. all the best Dongra.
