Am using Elsat OVHD Digital Sat Decoder to access the SA channels.

Will post more about the receiver later.

Please note, OpenView Hd is for the South African Market only thus you would need to purchase the receiver from SA.
Decoder needs to be activated in south Africa with mobile phone.
Open signal is available on SES 5 satellite @ 5 degrees East which covers Sub Sahara Africa.

Evening kungu1 how much did bro Ilish charge you 4 the decoder and how much for the transit.
By the way is the decoder a true fta decoder i.e. can it nab other fta satellites?

Hi...ope ya fn.... For those having 6ft dish and want to nab qtv and ntv use srt 4950m hd decoder for stable and no cracking....srt 4922 hd needs an 8ft for stable signal....frm my research i dont know about other gurus...my location is voi.

guys rescan ur decoder on amos 5 @ 17 11009 v 30000 most of d channels are fta at d moment enjoy.

I totally agree with you :clap2:, strong srt 4950 receivers have a much more sensitive and powerful tuner card than srt 4922hd.

Low frequency signal strength below 60% KU band crack/no signal on Srt 4922 HD while Srt 4950 is able to lock on the signal without any problem.

from the news report police wanted a bribe of 50k bt the somali boy was giving 20k....................then the police shoot the boy on the chest and the other guy on the arm.....kenyan police dont work proffesionaly for sure

Confirmed, it seems guys in west Africa support local content because of the many channels are local. A sharp contrast to what pay tv firms offer here at home.

Any software yet to enable the 4950M to nab the goodies on 7East European beam? That would be great since 4950M may receive channels on that sat that crack on the 4922HD at below 60% quality.

I have the Bein sports Humax HD Free decoder not ADMC. There is a forum member (cant remember who) said he will get us ADMC decoders from Dubai plus cards at abt 10,000 kshs. We are yet to hear from him

I am also keenly watching out for this deal. When available, pls share info. That is half the cost from sources that are aslo selling this AMDC decoders.
