Out of curiosity, Is it possible to convert the 3m mesh c-band dish to a ku-band dish by sheeting it?

Hi I also stumbled on a 240 cm KU band dish in a scrap yard in Eldoret similar to the ones used by Postal Corporation of Kenya and the foolish dealer told me he sold the stand separately to a guy who wanted to fabricate a steel gate for his maize store. Asked the price, the foolish dealer told me it is 15k because it is used for watching CNN and EPL free. I asked him 15K without a stand ! He said u can use any metal stand or a straight tree pole. so guys we always get sick when we come across misused sat equipments similar to this lying at a scrap yard in Eldoret minus the stand that a maize farmer took it for 1k.

Plz follow dz procedure: go 2 MENU-DVBS INSTALTN-SINGLE SATT SEARCH-SEARCH-OK. Incase of a diseqc switch rmber 2 selct de right port undr ANTENA SETUP b4 doing de autoscan. If de channels u want do not pop up den u nid 2 do de following: go 2menu-dvbs inst-tp list (here select ur Favorite tp &press da BLUE BUTTON on ur rmot). Pap! tatz it.TP standz 4 Transponder- a mixture of freq,symbl rate&polarity.

As u can c itz obviouz tat u wil need 2 lock on ur satlite of interest via other means. Usally a meter or any Free To Air stb(satlite box) tat cumz wd an inbuilt satfinder.

Da on big downside is tat wd da z*k* dcdr u must change ur disecq portz whenevr u swtch btwn channels. Unlz smbdy elz knowz betr. Thx &big upz 2 all FTA fan out ther. 😎😛

Has anyone had success locking the Eshail satellite-MENA beam? Im in Uganda-Masaka. have a 160cm dish inverto single LNB and will attempt if someone else has had success. Im currently on NileSAT and all is well. It just looks like BEINsport will ditch Nilesat soon.

bein sport will never ditch nilesat....they know they will loose a lot of revenue from subs outside mena region which is in millions.....they would better secure their channels so as to b in good terms with english fa.....in case it happens we will all migrate to arabsat even if its boring

i found myself in tricky position yestaerday..... i wanted to nabbed paksat with my 180cm dish and str 4922, however i could not hit green but when i changed to old TEchno decorder it had strength of 85 what could be the problem? im using eurosat single solution c band lnbf

....I have Nailed the 7 West Birds with my 130cm and the SF600 Sat Finder. I must say that it was an interesting observation after the previous day trying to nail it went futile. The observation thus; Previously I had a 90cm and a Fuji LNB which would nail the 7w bird easy and what to do on the box was just a network scan and the transponders would pop. The Eurostar 3rd generation Single LNB that I have now requires you to set the LO frequency and HI frequencies. It does not Scan anything while set at 'Universal' on the box which I found interesting. While I was on the roof, the attached beeper kept screaming but the satfinder would not show any signal until I canged the settings on the finder for that transponder FROM Universal To 9750 then I got a signal which I used to align the dish. Same applied to the other transponders.. very weird..some transponder results:

12399 H 27500 ------- L = 74 % Q =76%
11680 V 27500 ------ L = 76 % Q = 80 %
11296 V 27500 ------- L = 77 % Q = 88 %

The problem am facing though is that when I change the polarity of some transponders, I receive different channels and the quality of both H and V polarities is > 80 % so am stumped.. I added a dummy sat, put in the transponder with the opposite polarity and I have both channels, is it LNB saturation ? The BBC transponder indicates a signal strength quality of over 70% but when scanning, nothing pops.. has anyone ever experienced these quirks ?

It seems SRT 4922 software (150p) has been deleted or pulled down by Crosat.
