Politely well said lagat,on the grammar

Thank you LAGAT for alerting me on my short hand earlier on. To all the guys who I may have offended by those posts poleni. However I felt that I took so much beating from forum members. Guys I am relatively new here and hence still a Fresher to certain rules of the game. WITH MUCH RESPECT TO ALL SENIORS /GURUS, WHY DONT WE CORRECT EACH OTHER IN LOVE W/O HAVING TO USE HARSH LANGUAGE... otherwise we may eject well-meaning NEWBIES. Much Respect to you all. I STAND TO BE CORRECTED. GOD BLESS.

Put metal sheet instead of the mesh.
If length of square (spacing) is more than wave length (1/frequency), reflection will not occur. Instead the wave goes through undetected. C-band wave length is more than length of square hence reflected. As one member said, covering the mesh with aluminium foil or special fiber glass may reduce the inefficiencies of mesh dishes on ku-band reception.

Hi all. I am a new poster, but have been reading everything from page 1. As for highland patron, it is just good manners to use proper english with proper punctuation etc or if swahili, use the proper tenses etc. the forum is for people from all walks of life and as such proper language never hurts. people looking for help will be able to understand what you are saying and if it is you seeking help, someone will make the effort to pick up the keyboard and reply to you. if they think you are serious .
small matters like this cause/have caused such terrible moral decay in our society that we do not know where to begin repairs. think of all the rage you feel while driving or walking on the road because of un-courteous road users, both public and private transport vehicles etc. we have tolerated it so long we no longer can fix it.

Thank you highland for correcting the grammar...it helps in taking your posts seriously. Can i nab 7 W & 8 W on same lnb on a 90 cm? Am yet to graduate to 120/130 cm

Hi Bat and thanks for asking. Yes 8w is slightly above 7w. Lift your dish by about a centimeter. Actually with 130 cm dish you can nab both birds (7w & 8w) at a ago. Just balance their signal levels. Besides Aljaz America(11637V27500) you also have Qtv - Action Movie Channel (11512V27500). Happy hunting Bro

I believe 8w is below 7w and he need to lower the dish

Noted.

Karibu boss. Your apologies have been accepted.

Highlands Patron, now that you are properly chastised, can you tell us the exact model decoder that does the fta trick and where it can be found(only from the stealers or even from their agents)? Does it have to have a card paid and inserted or just inserted or does it work even without? any info will go a long way in helping others too,not just me.

For those on 10E C Band Sayare is on a new tp 3692V1400 in DVB-S MPEG2 format is it stable on a 6ft dish. This information is on Flysat.

Hi Members,
Rwira Electronics has quoted for me Inverto Black Ultra Quad at KES 4500 and Eurostar QP4 KU at KES 2500, am sending someone to buy one of these for me,
1. do you think it's a good deal?
2. Invero black ultra quad and Eurostar QP4, which one is better becoz i need only one for my 130cm offset.

Chastised indeed... Talk of babtism by fire! W/o sparking any controversy, it seems I am loved and hated with equal measure.

Emboko and others do this: drop to any shop downtown that sells Z*k* and buy the Z*k* stb model shown in the picture below. Do an fta atoscan and believe you me, it will work. I can bet on it. The latest Z*k* decoders (kwa box ya Brown) come with inbuilt smartcards&it doesnt have to be registerd to the company. As for the stealer's thing forget it I am not party to it.

As you may all be aware in Kenya CCK (Communications Commision of Kenya) now requires that pay tv firms also offer fta channels as an option. Infact all LOCAL CHANNELS must be airing fta by now. Some law enforcer must be sleeping on his job somewhere.

I know that some forum members here are also "Dish Fundis". Guyz if you are more enlightened tell us. Halafu does any of you guys have any info about the D**V Q-SAT thing? I Thank you.

Highlands Patron, thanks for the info. i am going to get one of them brown-eyed decoders. i will use my old Technosat T-888 silver as a signal detector and quickly stick in the new kid on the block.
No one hates you. They just got miffed.

waoh what r u waiting 4? How much & where... Exact location if u dont mind. Now since itz an offset dish, moving it wuld b mind boggling.au siyo?

That dish is not offset. It is just an unusually configured prime focus. that is to say ,unlike the prime focus ones we are used to seeing. look at the mounts. they are equally spaced around the exact centre of the dish, making the LNBF/BUC assy sit right in the centre of the dish. mount done that way to reduce unnecessary weight.

HIghlands patron can one buy the decoder only and how much (please tell us the model) and please explain to us more on the DiSEqC version and functionality
