Eurostar Group has launched the first ever Android based set top box (STB): ES 9900A Hybrid.
For a unified communication experience, the ES 9900A merges computer and consumer electronics to offer you a thrilling experience. The audience will be able to access complete Android functionality such as Google, Play Store, Facebook, Twitter, Skype YouTube among others and Live TV via satellite. Content can be shared from the ES 9900A to other devices such as Android based Smart Phones and Tablets through direct Wi-Fi.
The company intends to showcase the set-top box at CABSAT this year.
Our participation at CABSAT 2013 will allow us a strategic opportunity to promote the advantages of using our new Android based STB, the ES 9900A Hybrid said Raju Jethwani, chairman, Eurostar Group. We have invested heavily to ensure that our Free-to-Air and Card Reader HD Satellite receiver range enables consumers wanting to watch their favorite High Definition content from the Middle East, Africa, CIS & the Indian Subcontinent, while also being able to access a wide range of Android applications.

..well, now that I have the Dish in place.. I decided to buy the Digital Satellite Finder.. just to test it and see if it works.. it is a SF600 Model and the software it has is a discovery challenger software version 1. Will try to test it this evening and give the feedback. I bought it for 8000 KES near Riwara after bargaining.. 🙂

The Package comes with 2 F to F connectors, Power Charger and USB cable. I was adding a new satellite and transponders and the battery seems to hold up fine.. charging it now to full capacity before first use..ASAS itatumaliza🙂

I have it and I have used it for 3 hrs straight and the battery was used up half way. Its a good budget meter and you can get it at beeps for 7500 sh but price starts at 8000 shs.
