Hi friends. I am having it all day and all night in Machakos on 8ft using the ordinary supermax 777. With 8ft and having it as prime, you should be having it loud and clear. Check on your set up and ensure its properly aligned. I think the problem is on the installation. All the best.

Two days ago, I came across a Twin Inverto Black Ultra LNB from Digital Life Electronics shop at Nairobi for Sh.3000 (USD35). Yesterday I tested it on a 130Cm Eurostar dish facing 7 East Europe beam and realized that it has 3 percent higher on quality compared to the Single Inverto. As per the specifications on the manufacturer's website, it has a 0.2dB noise figure.
Check: Inverto - IDLB-TWNL40-ULTRA-OPP -

Good Observation FTA-Nash. It would interesting to see how this compares to Samson Dual or Quad. Are you in a position to test this and report back ?

I actually have 4 inverto black single on different dishes and I am not too impressed.difference in performance as compared to ordinary lnb inst too big.

Last Saturday I had a chance to install 130Cm Eurostar Offset dish for Nilesat reception for a friend at Kinoo area – Nairobi. The weather was bad but this did not stop the works. For quick tracking, an ordinally "Euroline" buzzing finder was connected in ‘series with the Satlink WS-6906 digital meter. The cable from the Inverto LNB is connected to the "buzzing" finder, which then feeds to the Satlink. Within 5 to 10 minutes of turning the dish, the "buzzing finder" screams like crazy and CNN and his friends pops up on the Satlink! The Satlink is quite sensitive to weak signals, just like his cousin, the SRT4922. Note that a quality of 50% on the Satlink is equivalent to 70% on the SRT 4922's Graphic User Interface. Once charged for a couple of hours (4-5), the Satlink meter can keep power for up to 6 hours of continuous use.

Once the fine-tuning was completed, then came thunder and the rain!!! It was 5.30Pm. Even CNN (weakest TP) refused to break, reducing to 62% quality … but soon the rain (and the rain fade) was over. Inside the house, the cable was finally connected to a Humax HD free decoder which had recently been married to a beIN sports card in a colourful wedding. I confirm that the HD picture quality is just stunning!
Mission accomplished, and client contented, I packed my gadgets and zoomed off to my "Parking orbit" like Turksat-4A!

This is perfect and neat!.. good Job FTA-Nash.. like your metal stand. looks well made..

but anyway bottom line to get good reliable signals point is to always ensure pole is upright and perpendicular (90 degrees) to the roof or ground. A cheap simpe tool as a spirit level always comes in handy.

On another note, I have seen photos of fiber glass V-sat dishes with stands that are not drilled on rooftops. Some are even held in place using just concrete slabs.

in your case, because of the base metals lengths we short you had to "rawl-bolt" on to the roof. so thats understandable

On the meter, I personally use the inbuilt buzzer that comes with the Satlink Meter. Usually strap the meter round my neck with spanners at hand. Once the beeb is loud enough indicating a lock, id tighten the nuts then, proceed and fine tune, while looking at the meter readings.

Hi with 8 ft dish make sure you skew the lnb to signal quality of 78% and above and youyou are done 24/7 but anything less than that you are doomed to receive the channels between 3 pm and 5am only.

Hi where can I get an automatic HDMI splitter and what is the best quality and how much is it ? I want a four port splitter.

Currently, I do not have either the Twin or Quad Samson LNB. Last year, I tested the single Inverto black versus the twin Samson and realized the Single Inverto was better in terms of signal quality by 3 - 5% on an offset dish.

Hi all, what's up on ses 5 tp 12341,12380H, SR 27500. Nice day@

Hey what are you seeing there? coz that's STARSAT PACKAGE AND DEFINETLY IS FOR SOUTH AFRICA, AND AM SURE ALL CHANNELS THERE ARE INCRIPTED ARENT THEY? TELL US IF ETV IS ON SO THAT WE CAN RUSH TO IT.

I have three questions about SRT 4922.
1- How does SRT 4922 stream media files to or from a PC? What is the procedure?
2- When transfering a channel list file (cndf format) from one SRTY 4922 to another, the stb asks you to choose between Default or Normal. Which is the right one?
3- What is the use of FTP under Menu-External Device?
