The TurkSat-4A Turkish satellite
launched from Baikonur on Saturday
with the use of a Proton-M rocket is
put into orbit, a Roscosmos source
said. The satellite safely separated
from the Briz-M upper stage at the
planned time, he source said.
TurkSat-4A belongs to the Turkish satellite
communication operator Turksat AS. The
3,800-kg satellite made by the Japanese
Mitsubishi Electric (MELCO) Corporation will
be used to provide TV broadcasting services
for Turkey, Europe, Central Asia, the Middle
East and Africa.

A great setup! keep up the good work. Long live fta...For the house: How good is Stargold Fuji universal prime focus twin lnb, got one I want to fix on a 1.8m dish
I use the single one. It works great on 7A with bbc persia at 72% quality. Getting most of tps stable on this sat.

The JF iOS app is quite ingenious. Real time update on posts I've subscribed to. 👍

A new bby on the sky to the smiles of the sat hunters....Talking of the Turksat 4A launch on 15th Feb with promising footprints covering now Africa at last.....The other beams like Europe, East & west beams will be fridge bt with a good offset from 2.4M to 3M ca be nabbed....waiting for the tests signals at my end.....fruitful week

Waoh Qimeu n praiz Jesus the Christ. U know what u just made my day. Tatz a very nyc setup carefully thought out n crafted- amark of true ingenuity. Now afew qtns 4 u bro: how do the Kenyamux perfm on 10e? (mi I dont want any signal drop on dis bird) ; what channels of interest@17e c-band?; Finally did u manage 2 keep BEIN SPO HD+10 religously on english audio &how? Big upz bro&thx 2 u all great forum members.
Hi to all family members. About 10e, the signal is very sensitive to cloudy and windy weather. when its calm, its stable almost all the day. Also, as noted erlier, the signal is more stable from 3pm to dawn. On 17e C band, my interest is Optima sports. For the BEIN sports HD+10, i seldomly use it and thus no much information concerning the same. God bless you all. Thankyou.

Last Saturday I had a chance to install 130Cm Eurostar Offset dish for Nilesat reception for a friend at Kinoo area – Nairobi. The weather was bad but this did not stop the works. For quick tracking, an ordinally "Euroline" buzzing finder was connected in ‘series with the Satlink WS-6906 digital meter. The cable from the Inverto LNB is connected to the "buzzing" finder, which then feeds to the Satlink. Within 5 to 10 minutes of turning the dish, the "buzzing finder" screams like crazy and CNN and his friends pops up on the Satlink! The Satlink is quite sensitive to weak signals, just like his cousin, the SRT4922. Note that a quality of 50% on the Satlink is equivalent to 70% on the SRT 4922's Graphic User Interface. Once charged for a couple of hours (4-5), the Satlink meter can keep power for up to 6 hours of continuous use.

Once the fine-tuning was completed, then came thunder and the rain!!! It was 5.30Pm. Even CNN (weakest TP) refused to break, reducing to 62% quality … but soon the rain (and the rain fade) was over. Inside the house, the cable was finally connected to a Humax HD free decoder which had recently been married to a beIN sports card in a colourful wedding. I confirm that the HD picture quality is just stunning!
Mission accomplished, and client contented, I packed my gadgets and zoomed off to my "Parking orbit" like Turksat-4A!
