Sure, but have you tried to use that website? I cant get anywhere with it. The buttons on the left, one of which says DTH, simply do not respond on my system, and I have tried two different browsers. Perhaps it is just a problem with their website?

Great, but it did not last long! - I was having fun watching, then they all became encrypted at 18:30hrs!

Has anybody noticed that not only has Lyngsat published details of the Azam package on the wrong beam of Eutelsat 7E (they say Europe C - as another member pointed out), but they have also stated the Transponder frequency as being 21477H/27692 wheras I am picking up all of the channels listed by Lyngsat on 12603/3001.

1 foot = 12inches = 30cm.
Thus, 2.4m = 240cm = 8feet = 36inches.

I thought that the whole of East Africa had converted to METRIC SYSTEM many years ago. I am surprised to hear
that in Tanzania they still use the IMPERIAL SYSTEM. Personally I find measurements in feet (hands?), yards,
pounds, ounces, and miles very cumbersome. You have to remember awkward figures like 12 inches to a foot, 3 feet
to a yard. Metric is very straight forward and I would kindly urge members to state measurements in METRIC. Thank
you.

You can watch quite a few channels FTA at the moment again on the Azam network, including BBC World, MTV India etc etc. From what I can tell, AZAM TV are just getting their act together and carrying out tests, not sure you could get a decoder and matched card (NAGRA) even if you wanted to yet. It is an interesting package though, and they say it will cost the equivalent of just $8 per month - probably good value for money, it will give the DSTV and ZUKU base packages some much needed competition.

It would be good if members of this Forum located in Tanzania can let other Forum members know when the decoders and cards for AZAM go on sale in Tanzania, and how much they will sell for.

Sounds like a software issue. Do you remember the old COSHIP CDVB5668 Decoder by the now defunct GTV? Its software was designed to accept only the two GTV TPs and the FTA TPs available on 7East only! Guys looked for software to convert it into a useful FTA receiver for other Sats without success!
The Z*u*k*u owners know that FTA people would buy it as a cheap HD-MPEG4-DVBS2 decoder for other uses instead. Does it have a USB or other port (RS232) for future software upgrading? What is the price of the decoder only? Model? What other features, e.g., HDMI output or Card input? Thanks.

Fta-Nash, zuku new decoder doesn't have either USB or RS232

Dear Forum members

ASAS addicts from the coastal region have been accused of exploitation by a member of this forum, his exact words are "For a long time, fellow ASAS members have been exploited from the enlighted ASAS members from the coastal region." I would like to thank the said member for acknowledging the fact that we are enlightend on satellite issues coz like i said in one of my earlier posts, three quaters of all sat dishes in Kenya are in the coast. This is an uncalled for and unwarranted attack on the dignity of honourable members of this forum from the region as it portrays us as conmen and swindlers. The member also says that this has been going on for a long time, i would like him to
a) Tell us which forum members have lost money to the 'coast cartel'
b) Tell us the amounts involved.
c) Tell us how the swindle was done. like in did someone recieve money and refuse to deliver or sell substandard goods.
d) If he is going after one member, spare the rest all the drama and tell us the guilty party.

Since the days of the old RDI links and numbers to stores which stock the ASAS equipment have been dropped time and again for members to call and enquire about their requirements, several times guys in this forum have been asked if they have a share in the several stores that we get our goods from as its about two or three stores that have what we want.
Most members here have not met one another and depend on trust and its very disturbing when we are accused of breaching this trust.
I have made very good friends from this forum and also met some of them.

If any of you has been conned, swindled or given a raw deal by the 'coastal cartel' or anyone else in this forum please come forward and let us know. Everyone here is aware of all the risks involved in sending money to stangers and how to go about it.

finally, Forum members have travelled all over the world and have even been to china where all the ASAS equipment is very cheap as its manufactured there and they dont stand on the roof and brag to anyone who will listen about where they have been.

Regards

Msondaa

Naturally when you sell a merchant (commodity) you cannot sell it at the same price of which you bought it coz 1. you want to make profit, 2. there are forces of expenses in cured in the process of acquisition and forwarding the same to person in need, hence you put extra amount on it. Another issue is there was a deal and you agreed to it at that particular moment and you cannot come later and write here that coastal people are exploiting ASAS members it portrays a bad image to this forum and even to other coastal members who have nothing to do with this, please its better if you can to appologise to the concerned person, coastal asas members and the forum as a whole for the determination and good friendlyness that we enjoy in this forum.
