accordin to my own research the older family tv dish has a better reception than those ordinary eurostar 90cm..its like its 1m..or so.apparently locks well on yahsat too.

Yes. The first generation Family TV offset dishes were around 100Cm 'long' by 90Cm 'wide'. And were similar to the 'first generation' D*S*T*V Elsat dish which had these measurements. I had tried this particular Elsat on 7 West and it seemed to lock on Nile 201 (Dubai, CNN etc.) well with a good LNB, with occasional signal breaks during cloudy weather. The conventional Eurostar marketed as 90Cm (actually it is 90Cm 'long' and 80Cm 'wide') cannot lock on Dubai One well at Nairobi.

the newest version of the zuku decoder is jst like astrovox 290 display wise.comes with a beeper which makes it easier to track even dvbs2 signals,fta wise is good plus the blind scan.but the shortcomin is it has disecq option but has only ses5 satellite. no options for addition or edittin of satellite or even transponders.any tricks for that shortcomin..?

Sidhani kama unaweza kupata Yahsat Dar ukiwa na 6'. Utahitaji pengine 8'. Hapa Mombasa wengi wamejaribu na 6' bila mafanikio.

Sounds like a software issue. Do you remember the old COSHIP CDVB5668 Decoder by the now defunct GTV? Its software was designed to accept only the two GTV TPs and the FTA TPs available on 7East only! Guys looked for software to convert it into a useful FTA receiver for other Sats without success!
The Z*u*k*u owners know that FTA people would buy it as a cheap HD-MPEG4-DVBS2 decoder for other uses instead. Does it have a USB or other port (RS232) for future software upgrading? What is the price of the decoder only? Model? What other features, e.g., HDMI output or Card input? Thanks.

bat Nafikiri dish ya 130cm(ku) iko more powerful kuliko 6ft(C) ndo maana unapokea Yahsat.
