African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Pffffff! Tumecheswo on that been_0-$n forever thing..

The damn thing is actually streaming video data via wifi not just the keys.. except for freq 11804 and 11881 which contain mostly hindi channels.

Try it. Tune to Been on 7w sat. Connect wifi.. it opens right.? Dancing!
Now pull out your satellite cable still dancing . Signal coming from where? Your little bundle is being marauded.

Explains the huge consumption rates.
ooo no....just when things were looking up

Sure, it is not like free C lines I used to watch mbc HD & epl on AJ sports year 2013 and consumer 50MB per week.
do you use free c lines anymore,or they are too much of a hassle?

Well it seems the signal at Apstar7, measat and Intelsat 17 has weakened a bit! The $0nys at 66 once 69 now 63, the cartoons at 76 5 are not reading, and diva dwindle 66-63, while The H!story at 91.5 are not coming through while they were 69 before for a 6ft.

I was thinking of try hunting 66 by 6ft at Mbeya (Southern West Tz)..but this can be really heartbreaking to me.

You can still try! The $onys at 66 are quite elusive these days with 6ft, but with 8ft its home! You can still get it but you have to really work it out with 6ft.

As the raging storm gathers momentum, big brazza remains as boneheaded as ever. Tis gonna be fun watching the ship go down

The ship is steadily kept afloat by soccer fans who'll pay anything to watch a European soccer match. And so far bb has exclusive rights for many of those.

I saw it coming. Big companies (quasi-monopolies to be precise) have this mentality that the client needs them more than they do. We have a precedent around here; Kenya Airways and more recently Safaricom had/have this air of invincibility around them; maintaining high prices when the market trends dictate otherwise- The former has barely recovered from a near-meltdown, while the latter has been bothering me with incessant messages (a minimum of 5 per day; and I guess many price-savvy Kenyan too), about their overpriced data and call services, when I stopped using them, a clear pointer that the competition is eating into their pie.

Looks like the game changed. If am not mistaken, the soccer bouquet is largely in their premium category. One issue I have with bb is the fact they still cling on this model of bundling you with channels you don't need and charge highly for it. I know out their are soccer lovers who would be glad to just purchase 3 or 4 sports channels only. But bb insists on including movies, docs etc and charging exorbitantly for it. I recall one of their bosses was asked about this and he retorted that accessing their services is like buying a newspaper-Irrespective of your preferences, you must buy the whole thing even if you don't read it.

How I wish they would have taken cue from the operators in Asia, where for instance with Tata, Bharti Airtel or Videocon, The client has freedom to build his own bouquet.

There is nothing as dangerous as a company relying on only one product to survive. The lucrative football rights auctions, and particularly the EPL, have attracted the interest of american online behemoths such as amazon and netflix(starting from next season, the Amazon Prime video channel will show 20 EPL matches). While the effect of this will at first be felt in the developed world, this development will significantly affect how soccer will be watched worldwide.Luckily for BB,our pea-brained govt ,a co-owner of the local franchise, has resorted to adding taxes on bundles.Nonetheless the very arrogant and customer-unfriendly big brazza is certainly headed for stormy waters, unless they put on their thinking caps.

Which is Data friendly ? 11804/11881 or oesn
11881 & 11804 (hindu packages) consumes only about 10kbs per hour. (Only keys are transmitted via internet .50 mbs will probably last you 2 years ) But the only channels you can watch there is Trace Urb@n, baby tv & 10Crickrt if you're a fan. Other English channels on those tps like fox news are not supported

Ozn and been ni ya mandume with over 1mbps internet speed and can afford 10mbs per minute they watch(all audio and hd video data is transmitted via internet,).. catch me if you can style

In other words watching been & osn is pure streaming not sickumm
