African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Can i

can I come in here for this advice it looks like that satellite is linear not circular,so you use lnb without plate
Friend, you are referring to polarization, not the satellite itself. The satelite itself is neither linear nor circular.

Intelsat 37 has C, Ku , and Ka bands. The poster refered to C band based frequency. However, because the signal is strong and they use a reusable frequency technology, you can receive them even without dielectric plate, but not as strong in signal as with dielectric plate.
That satellite has circular polarization on C band.

Hi, try turning the lnb thru 90 degs at your horizontal position and try your dielectric insertions....
That Tp is trickier!
Try the following it might(I mean it might) work.

1. If your lnb is set to Horizontal, (the lnb chest(box like) faces your right)the mere insertion of dielectric plate (as pictured below), will give you a very high signal quality, probably 80, but when scanning, it won't give you anything.
Now if you change the dielectric plate to cut between the two probes, to make it Vertical instead of Horizontal, it will give you a very unusual and very unstable vertical signal quality of like 57 suddenly goes to 0 and back to 57 in a rate of like evey 2-3 or 5 seconds all through.

Now for me i say that is the problem.

When you actually (think you have nailed it), you haven't, that is just an amplification effects you are receiving and that's what even your receiver gets but the actual signal is very weak.
However some receivers, may work around through the amplification effects and get the channels, but many receivers won't do that and its why you don't receive the channels.

My thinking( I may be wrong)
Try skewing your lnb towards left, so that the reading of the tp should give you an exactly strong vertical signal( left)( not because you have set your dielectric plate to receive vertical ) but the actual lnb should be set to receive vertical signals, while your dielectric plate inserted to support the vertical signal. Once they hit green. Scan.

This is just my thinking coupled with some little experience, as some tp, unless the lnb is set towards the actual polarization, cheating them using dielectric plate may not work, they may hit green but scan as many times as you can, but won't yield.

You may try it, but I'm not guaranteeing that it will certainly work.

So if you are really into them try it, after all the learning curve should always go up to keep up with ASAS challenges.

Sorry for mis understanding you,I referred at flysat and found out that I gave 3w and yours was based on 18w
Apology.

Is it easy to track Intelsat 20 in a setup like this with yahsat as prime and Intelsat 33e then Intelsat 20 at the topView attachment 788541

Waiting for your reply
The best thing would be to get your set up out of the room, point it to the sky and see what you can get and gain some experience in the process. Sometimes suggestions are given here but we don't even get a feedback. Leaving us wondering "did he get helped or I just made the situation worse?"
Good luck bro

Feedback greatly appreciated sir.
Sorry for late reply! I was busy.
Based on several months window shopping, 6ft cost Tsh. 180,000; and 8ft cost Tsh. 180,000 for some shops in Mbeya, Tunduma and Sumbawanga.
I did note take notice of a specific shops as I was concerned much with Pauxis or any LNB for C and Ku Band

Working fine on compatible decoders like WOW+ which are now available in Kampala.
Thanks For the response,I how much are the decorders

It jst frustrating that i get a good signal on both srt 4920 and Freesat v7 but can't get he channels.I will try your guide tomorrow and i will give you feed back. Thanks

Hi, hii world cup tutatazama kwa satellite gani. Ntv won't show all the matches. Hiyo freesat yatoka ngapi Nairobi? Na Ni duka gani. Please help. I have a 90cm offset and a 180 prime ready. Karatina, Nyeri County. Good day.

Which lnb are you using?

Kimbori review your response. There is a discrepancy in the price. Do you mean 180,000/= for 8ft? And its original?
If that is the case my brother I would have to buy from there, as Dar you won't get 8ft without 350,000 Tsh.

Try changing the lnb I experienced a similar problem on 1w using px2000. While using Eurostar I could get 50% strength with the channels . Changing to Pauxis , signal strength jumped to 64% but without the channels.

Hello, can you kindly upload images of the decoder, i recently searched online but turned out nought.

Salimia GITHS your neighbor. He can also show you where to get the Freesat Decoders.
