Why I think he resonates with the silent majority

Why I think he resonates with the silent majority

Although he lacks the finesse [or savoir faire, if you will] of some of his predecessors, I believe President Magufuli resonates far better with Joe Public with the exception maybe of Nyerere.

And that is because of his plain-spokenness!

He doesn’t use lofty vocabulary in his speech.

When he speaks people understand him. He tells it like it is. Something I believe a lot of people like.

And he comes across as very sincere. When you listen to him talk you can’t help but think this guy really believes in what he is saying.

So that, coupled with his track record of running a tight ship and cracking the whip, are what I believe to be the reasons why he resonates with the silent majority.

Of course not everyone likes him or his style of leadership. But I believe this group is in the minority. And it is very vocal, too! Hence the vocal minority.

They see his hectoring mannerisms as dictatorial and they want him gone ASAP.

But such is life. We can’t all be in lockstep as far as opinions go.

However, on balance, I think the silent majority are on his side.

What say you??????
And you might be surprised, the vocal minority just adds up to less than 25% of the adults! Nowdays, whenever I listen to these minorities, i take my time to digest their core issues, only to be surprised it's mere sour grapes or partisanship issue, nothing else, so personally, whenever I run into them, I let them blow their horns because I believe and they are a drop of blood in the ocean.

The silent majority resonates with him, you are DEFINATELY right.

My english is not beautiful. Mtu anayetaka kuwapangia maaskofu mambo ya kuhubiri ni wa hatari kwa taifa. Silent majority are undecided because all they think of is the next meal, they can switch sides anytime.
So despite the fact they are minority, there are still swing voters amongst them? Good one!

Whether you would love it or not, even if the general election could be called today Magufuli would win the election with high % than the previous election! The little minority you talk about is also divided, those who were favourite of Julius Nyerere love the President. You shouldn't think Cardinal Pengo's comment on their church's lent paper, is of his alone! Haters of Magufuli are those the majority of Tanzanian out of the internet, they hate too! Relax Magufuli is the president loved outside there!

The silent majority resonate with him😵. At least TWAWEZA huwa wanafahya tafiti. The majority of the " silent majority" might be residing in Kanda ya Ziwa maana huko hata wakijenga pembeni ya Airport, hawavunjiwi nyumba kwani walimchagua Malaika mkuu.
Ukweli ndio huo, minorities are very vocal and majoritiea are very silent, and the later is riding in his bandwagon.

Let them read and weep!

And so to speak, the vocal minority are the ones who matter, that is why he is furious at them.
if he is at war with them he will be politically finished. Only authoritarianism will keep in him in power, but not comfortable at it. always he will think he has many enemies.

Even in heaven, there might be some troubled angels! Opposition is a normal thing, better yet, the divided opposition! How is he going to be politically finished??

The minority are very reckless in their actions, the way they action their stuff, they could potentially drive anyone mad.
Magufuli should go and develop a deaf ear and listen not to their narratives. He should keep going as per plan.

Just a power monger like many African leaders hakuna la ajabu.... unawezaje spend 2B last year kwenye wizara ya kilimo ambacho kina ajili 70% ya wananchi harafu utumie 20B kufanya uchaguz usio wa lazima, ukiweka na gharama za kuwanunua wabunge na madiwani tutaongelea 30 to 40B harafu uongelee kwamba tuna majority favoured leader?????? Think twice Nyani....

I fully agree with you.

One other observation is that this VOCAL MINORITY gets traction mainly in the social media space.

The top honchos of their movement were very clear to their followers that Magufuli's rule has to be disruppted pronto. This statement was made by leaders of opposition parties as well as their sidekicks operating outside TZ.

The haste we see now is fueled by PANIC. Yes panic, because they know if they wait until major elections of 2019 and 2020, they will be wiped off from TZ political landscape.

We need strong political opposition in TZ. However, what we have now is a joke and an insult to the title of POLITICAL OPPOSITION.

I look forward to what will germinate out of the ashes of the current farse masquerading as opposition.

Most of these online anti Magufuli activists are just internet trolls!

Mpumbavu at his best. Maaskofu wezi wanaotaka kumpangia Rais mteule wa Mungu ndio hatari kwa Taifa. Siai tunakwenda na msemakweli, nyie nendeni na hao mashetani wenu.
Maaskofu waliiba hela huku Arusha, bado kidogo bank iuze Seliani hospital na hotel yao moja hapa uzunguni, siikumbuki jina, hadi leo waumini wanachangishwa ibadani kulipa hayo madeni. Imagine.
And they have the audacity. I don't go to church anymore because of these plenty michangos.
