Do not get me wrong, I do not hate Nyerere as a person, I hate Nyerere's decisions on leadership, they were all wrong. EAC is a good example. Why did he not finalize with these poor peoples? why leaving them in jeopardy all these years? Why blame others for his mistakes?
Nyerere was simply a human being like me and you, he had his mistakes and he admitted to that, why you are trying to make him faultless?
