Mkurugenzi wa Miundombinu wa Vodacom Tanzania Plc Andrew Lupembe akizungumza na waandishi wa Habari wakati wa uzinduzi wa ripoti ya ESG ya mwaka 2026.
Vodacom Tanzania has released its FY2026 ESG Report, where by emissions are down 24%, with two million litres less diesel burned after 1,808 sites were connected to national electricity grid in just seven months.
57% of the company's energy, now comes from renewable sources, while the network grew to 27.7 million customers and launched Tanzania's first 5G service.
Through that transformation, teachers accessing training materials data-free, savings groups going digital through M-Koba, and 80,000 trees planted on Mount Kilimanjaro. This is what it looks like when better connectivity and a lighter footprint move together.
