Watu hawamshangai Uhuru Kenyatta kuvaa alivyovaa leo. kwanza kabisa siyo mara ya kwanza kuvaa hivyo, kama inavyoelezwa hapa chini:
"The president first wore the military gear in 2014 when he presided over a military function at Archer’s Post in Samburu. He also wore the uniform in the same year during the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) Day at the Kenya Military Academy in Lanet, Nakuru and also at the Kenya Navy’s 50th anniversary celebrations in Mombasa, all in 2014. Again, in 2016 he wore the uniform during the General Service Unit (GSU) pass out parade in 2016."

Pili, Uhuru siyo rais wa kwanza kule Kenya kuvaa mavazi hayo. tunaambiwa:
"The Red Tunic donned by President Uhuru was also worn by former Presidents
Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and
Daniel Moi although
Mwai Kibaki is not known to have worn military uniform."

"Kenyan soldiers wear the red tunic which they call the service uniform on certain occasions.
These are worn by soldiers in situations where formal dressing is called for. The full-service dress which generally consists of polished black shoes, trousers, a pressed collared shirt and a coat is worn during special events and ceremonies such as state functions, funerals, and weddings."
