-Greek controller alipojaribu kuwasilliana kwa mara nyingine saa 0027GMT hapakuwa majibu kutoka kwa rubani!

-Ndege iliripotiwa kupotea kwenye radar za ugiriki saa 0029,40.

-Ilipofika saa 0030GMT ilipotea kwenye radar ya Egypt 280km coast.

-Jitihada za kuitafuta zilianza mara moja saa 0045, baada ya Rais wa Ufaransa kutangaza kuhusu crashing.

-Ndege ilifanya abrupt turns' yaani 90 degrees left then 360 Right.

-Baadae ilishuka kutoka 37000 mpaka 15000 then ikapotelea 10000...

Greek ships are no longer participating in the search for Egyptair flight 804, the deputy spokesman of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, Commander Marius Tzannis, tells CNN.

Greece had sent a frigate to the area on Thursday but, according to Commander Tzanis, it has now pulled the ship back to Karpathos island.

Greek coastguard vessels are not in the area either as they do not have the capacity to operate so far away from the coast, Commander Tzannis added.

Commander Tzannis also says Egyptian officials are leading the search operations because they are taking place in an area that is part of the Cairo flight information region, 230 nautical miles southeast of Crete, which by law falls under Egyptian control.

According to Commande Tzannis, despite pulling the warships back, Greece still has a C-130 aircraft operating in the area and several others on standby in Crete and Karpathos island, including “an appropriate number” of F-16s.
