Cry my beloved country, so the saying goes...this country is so rotten it smells like high heaven. It is no wonder that all those, that can never ever see beyond their noses, will be applauding this illusion. This is not the first time and wont be the last, this regime is so predictable and its sycophants so loyal that they will believe anything thrown at them even the most absurd! As Tanzanians, is something wrong with our genes? Have we lost all sense of right and wrong? How are we different from zombies or puppets that can cannot ever think or reason?

  • It is only in Tanzania where the President can spend one third of his time in office traveling around the globe like a tourist and this act doesnt raise an eyebrow.
  • It is only in Tanzania where first responders to traffic accidents rob the victims instead of offering help and this cruel and inhuman act is considered as normal.
  • It is only in Tanzania where a top government leader can order the police to attack and beat (to death?) those he alleges to be law-breakers and still be in office.
  • It is only in Tanzania where...I could go on and on but what's the use, we appear doomed for we are stuck with the the Kikwetes, the Mwakyembes, the Kinanas, the Sembes, the Mwigulus, the Napes...the list is so long it is hard to believe there is anybody left out. Have we all accepted our fate?
I know many of us have, but what a shame that the few who still have some iota of hope can bank their future on an illusion like the one displayed by the Mwakyembe saga...oh yes I know some like HAMY-D are pouring in their congratulations for disillusion is a natural stage that follows the holding of an illusion. It is a pity many of us Tanzanians have come to believe in this corrupt regime that tries to convince them that half the work is done when they make things appear what they are not, they are content and don't know what they miss.

Duh Mr. President, is it any wonder that even you, Mr. President, can become President in Bongoland? That is the one thousand dollar question that, only in Tanzania, is easily answered if the last 8 years were anything to go by! If I responded to this outburst of yours, that could be called stooping and I choose never to stoop.

Dr. Mwakyembe ni binadamu siyo? Sumu hainywewi mara mbili...ngoja nikusaidie, jaribu kumalizia hizi semi/methali;

  • Kama hujui kufa...
  • Aliyeumwa na nyoka...
Once bitten, twice shy. Dr Mwakyembe is but a human being. Narudia, sumu hainywewi mara mbili, ama unakufa au ukipona huthubutu kurudia tena. That is the stark naked truth Mr. President! Tafakari!

Mag3,

I think there is a need for you to change that heading, I don't think its fair for you to write that way about Dr Makyembe.

I don't know, but sometimes I think some of us (Tanzanians) like to see things go on wrong in the Kikwete administration's so that we can have bad things to say, and I believe Mag3 you're among them.

You are a poor man,in the head!
Try to focus on the oppurtunities that exist, probably you will see a different Tanzania.

You are very right jaxonwaziri, it was all an introduction. The response will determine whether there is any need to go on. From what I have seen and read so far I am afraid I may be forced to reconsider whether it is worth the effort. A couple of years back, when Jamii Forums was worth its name, some of us used to sacrifice a lot of time discussing ideas but alas, now we have people like Mr. President and their number is tripling every minute, it is just sad!

Kwa hiyo mkuu unamaanisha asifanye chochote na huu uozo uendelee? Sijajua bado unamhurumia Mwakyembe au unabeza juhudi zake?

at 2242 hrs on a friday night,
one is either asleep or out wandering,
do not under-estimate the power of a few sips of grants.
